The lady who checked us in at 5pm on Thursday the 9th of January is a natural welcoming and communicative, pleasant person. Our shy and very polite young granddaughters felt really happy with the way she welcomed them and had a lovely talk with them. The food was tasteful, not bland like many meals in Australian restaurants often are served. We're not big eaters, nor are our little ones but we enjoyed the food and 5pm was the perfect time to start because it wasn't so busy in the restaurant, nor in the kids play rooms. In short, we've enjoyed our outing and dinner.
I go here on average 3 to 4 times a month and good is always consistent and awesome and if there is issues with food chefs will take feedback seriously whitch is amazing I always talk to them I go there and and always have a good chat there all like family there and charlies service manager is Amy super amazing u won't get a better manager anywhere to run charlies diner ever and they need to start reopening more of old locations would be awesome to have closer locations and I make the nearly 50min journey several times a month for the food and just a chat with staff I get along with to see how there doing and all keep up the good work team. Just updated please like this review all this place doesn't get enough appreciation for what they do and people I noticed complaining on here about people's moods is absolutely discusting I have worked in hospitality and use don't realise the hard work that goes in to this every single day before you leave a bad review like I just noticed have a long hard think about what effort goes in to running this show 7 days a week keep your heads up front of house and back for all the hard work use to to keep memory's going of what charlies was like when it was everywhere and now have made it way better than it was after use took over thus buffet is the go to updated with some photos if use done come down and try it I'll be disappointed.
We went to Charlie's on Saturday 8th Feb 25 for the first time in quite a few years. It has been renovated since we were there last and we weren't sure if we were going to enjoy it as we were not impressed with it years ago. We were happy to find that the quality of food and the renovations had greatly improved the place. We enjoyed the food very much and were happy with the selection offered. Service was very good, in particular from staff member Amy who was fantastic. Despite being busy, everything was clean and tidy, and the two kids' rooms were a great addition, keeping bored kids away from the buffet and other diners. Overall, a pleasant surprise and we plan on returning soon.
Charlie's is enjoyable for the novelty of an all you can eat. There is a lot of variety in terms of food but none of the menu items are executed particularly well. The pizza is always nice as they clearly make the base from scratch. The desserts are okay, there are lots of gluten free items which is nice. The icecream in the freezer is always half melted- I am not sure if this is on purpose to make it easier to scoop? Either way, it would be much nicer frozen. Overall Charlie's is fun for the all you can eat experience, just expect the food to be mediocre.
Charlies Dine is an amazing buffet. It provided you with great service, delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. There is a huge variety of food choices. The place needs better lighting in some places though.nThey even offered us an extra 30mins as we came a bit late.nGreat place to have a filling dinner at.
