I’m a foodie and have high standards. Quite simply amongst the best charcoal you will find in Sydney. The Dine in experience is great if you like forty!! Incredible Garlic sauce, pickles, fresh Lebanese bread are standards in the meals. The chicken is delectable, moist with a scrumptious marinade cooked to perfection. A great choice of of delicious salads. This place isn’t a greasy spoon it has a wide selection of healthy clean food. Portions are generous and priced reasonably. Service is friendly and helpful. This place is very popular because of the reputation for good honest food prepared in a clean environment cooked before you. Everything on the menu is excellent. If I had a complaint, it would be $4 is too expensive for a can of drink, yes it’s of minor concern but still I can’t take a point off because of the quality of the food. I’ve read negative reviews of this place and they are complaining about service at a busy place.. ignore them, it’s nonsense. Yes the place is busy because it’s an exceptionally good place to eat. I must confess I’m a local and this is the first food I ate moving to Rockdale 4 years ago. This place is consistently great eat in or take away. Highly recommend.
I go to the epic Charcoal Kingdom anytime I'm remotely anywhere near the area. Hands down best Charcoal Chicken in Sydney. The chicken is beautifully charcoaled, yet still unbelievably juicy on the inside. Their hot chips with their in-house spice salt is out of this world. The garlic sauce, pickles, and Lebanese bread are all top class. Don't sleep on the amazing salad options either! We usually get the tabouleh, but other salads are all so delicious, too. Not only the best Charcoal Chicken restaurant, one of our faves full stop.
It's not the best chicken I've had as it was a bit dry, and could have done with 5mins less cooking time. But giving that to benefit of the doubt, then it's great value, came with a nice garlic sauce, pickles a little salty and flatbread. The chips were ok too when dipped in the garlic sauce. Service was friendly and efficient. Giving it 5 stars on overall experience. The food alone is probably a 4.

4.5 stars There’s an honest pleasure to the menu items at Charcoal Kingdom. This Rockdale-based charcoal chook shop does a brisk takeaway and eat-in trade, and it’s worth venturing beyond your suburb to check it out. The wagyu and fried cheese burger $16 takes two juicy beef patties, teams them with a crumbed slab of stretchy cheese, pickles, onions and burger sauce on a softly crumpled bun. It’s not the prettiest burger on Instagram but it sure is tasty. Making the Philly cheese $11 into a wrap is very clever idea. Firstly, it’s not going to rain mayo., steak, grilled onions, sautéed mushrooms, pickles and cheese all over you. Secondly, I like the soft pillowy wrap more than a roll as it really centralises the tasty fillings. You can take it up to a meal $17 with a soft drink and golden, crisp salt-dusted chips best with a small pot of warm chicken gravy $2 or their tasty chilli sauce $1.50. My photos don’t do this place justice.
Would consider the safety and hygiene issues there. Place looks pretty much dirty. The value for what you get now is lesser chips, smaller chickens but higher prices. Try Petersham chickens you will never return to this place.
Best chicken shop in the local area. Lots of flavour and plenty of side dishes and salads to choose from. On the Princes highway in Rockdale. This place gets busy and is popular with the locals so it is a good idea to order online before you go so you minimise waiting time.
This is hands down the best charcoal chicken I've ever had. They do everything right, salad selection is great, they even give you a small tub of house pickles. This place is the bombdiggity Vegetarian options: There are indeed Kid-friendliness: Yummy food
