I’m still laughing, while feeling slightly wounded at my experience with the owner of this shop today. A few days ago I enquired with a lovely woman at the counter,, as to whether they would like two items of clothing I was otherwise taking to Vinnies. This lady complimented the George dress and suggested she’d ask the owner if she was interested and have her call me. Next day the owner called and made quite rudely clear she had no interest in my clothes and I called in to collect them this morning to be told I’d insulted her by bringing them in, she “knew” designer clothing and they were awful and then called me a liar when I apologetically told her what I’d paid for the designer evening gown 15 years ago. Such a horrible woman. I’ll never shop there again.
Heda, the owner always helps me find what I am looking for. I love going to a store where the clothes are designer labels and not at high prices. The items in her store are always nicely ironed and of a high quality, very well displayed.
Body shaming lady. Looked me up and down, told me that certain clothing wouldn’t fit me. Asked me what size I wear and when I said size 8, refused to believe that what I said was correct. I left without buying any of the clothes I was interested in. Do not recommend.
Absolutely horrible woman and so rude. I was looked up and down, even though I wasn’t shopping for myself. No customer service whatsoever. Why she is still trading I have know idea. DO NOT GO THERE, NO WORDS CAN DESCRIBE THIS PERSON OR THIS SHOP
If I could give zero it would be too high. Rudest woman I have ever encountered. Told not to touch a $39 handbag unless I intended to buy instead of buying I walked out. Would not buy on principal
the lady who was working at the time when me and my mum went in was HORRIBLE and extremely unwelcoming. I was looking in my section of sizes and across the floor i see a skirt and i wanted to know what material it was. so asked my mum and she didn’t know so when we asked the lady what it was she looked me up and down in disgust and said ‘that isn’t your size, go look somewhere else’ she practically spat. so disappointed that a nice day in my mum was dampened from some grumpy old fatphobic witch. don’t support people like this and DON’T SHOP HERE
Got told not to touch anything. Not sure how you check sizes & fabric without touching. Interesting way to do business.
DON’T SHOP HERE! Unless you want to be faced with a rude, judgemental business owner. I’ve never encountered such judgment as I did while visiting this shop. After taking my son to a swim class I wanted to go browsing and treat myself to something new. I was pushing my pram and dressed in comfortable athletic wear with my hair in a messy bun as most mums would look like after taking baby to a class. I found a top to try on and advised the lady working of a couple garments left behind in the dressing room and asked if she wanted to remove them she didn’t. After exiting the dressing room, I placed the top back on the rack I found it on and proceeded to leave. As I was halfway out the door the old hag working aka the owner decided it was appropriate to yell at me from the other end of the store “excuse me!! How did you make out with clothes?!!”. Angered that she was basically accusing me of shoplifting in front of everyone in the store as they all turned to look at me; I reminded her I had only tried on ONE top and she could find it back on the rack and walked out. Clearly I didn’t have the “look” of someone she wanted shopping at her store. I’ve worked retail for years and you should be ashamed of yourself. Never judge someone by their appearance; I could’ve purchased anything I wanted in your store had I actually wanted any of it.
Trying to phone to see if she is interested in taking some very nice pre-loved clothes. No answer. Just voicemail.
I have had a very mixed experience at this store. My first was horrible. I walked in and no staff were in the front of shop, so as normal in a shop I proceeded to browse the racks. Then out of nowhere a very rude older lady appeared and accussed me of not calling out to let her know I was there and then telling me I gave her a fright and was extremely rude and she started to cry. If she wasn't a nasty piece of work I would have tried to console her. She told me to get out of the shop as I was not welcome. I refused as I had done nothing wrong. I left vowing to never return. Curiosity got the better of me six months later and I decided to test the customer service again. I was treated with by a lovely lady who was very helpful and I bought a lovely jacket. I don't know if the horried lady was the owner or not. This is a fabulous shop with great taste for used items...but be on alert should you decide to go in as to what personality you will encounter.
