Loved the food here. We ordered parathas and chat papri. Really the best parathas in Adelaide. Good quantity as well. Friendly staff, great service.
Tried to call multiple times to order before coming but no one picked up the phone. When we got there the phones were ringing off the hook and no one was answering them… we ordered and were told 40 min wait which is fine, we came back after 45min and it was not ready and we were told another 20 minutes. Still not ready after 20. We ended up waiting well over an hour for the food. When we got the food it was cold and we were missing items. My butter chicken had a hair in it & it tasted and looked nothing like butter chicken. The garlic naan was inedible. Overall a really bad experience with customer service, wait times and quality of food.
The owner was very lazy. We ordered and he said let me finish my tea first. Food wasn’t good at all!
High expectations often lead to disappointments and this is exactly what happened with Chahat. Thoroughly disappointed with the food, taste and quality. An overload of spice that dominates the taste and the food itself lacks punch. We ordered Punjabi Thali that had dal makhani and paneer navratan along with the other standard inclusions and never have I tasted dal makhani that's not creamy watery and a prominent taste of red chilli i presume. We were recommended Kulcha thali and were impressed when served but it was a let down as the channa lacked taste and the kulcha were burnt and had a bitter taste to it. The service was good, courteous and friendly and the quantity served was also good. Adding pics.
If you want to have a real Indian type ambience visit this place. I will guarantee you will not miss your home town. Food is good and authentic to the province the chef originates from. we could not pick any faults, we liked the food very much. I request the restaurant to cater to the authentic food for a long time to come. We love to visit again for the food but I request you to make sure to give the amenities and cleanliness a thought too.
Very disappointed.We went there and realised that management had changed and was expecting good food.But what we got was reheated and burned chicken tikka and tasteless and bland chole bhature.The only positive was that staff were pleasant.But they have to seriously work on the quality of the menu.

We ordered goat curry and kdhai chicken that was all stale and tandoori roti were too hard that was second time
Placed the order for take away, had to wait for an hour and 30 minutes and still didn’t get and had to left without food. Really disappointed. Don’t place your order after 8 pm. You will not gonna get your food.
DO NOT ORDER .. Horrible service over the phone .. would pretend she can’t hear me and would hang up on me. Tried to call to check my order made via Uber eats as was my first time using but very poor communication.. food came on time but sauce was very watery and chicken was tasteless .. was like eating plain chicken out of a bowl of water
