Well worth the drive from the west. Great for occasions, groups or casual. The tasting menu was delicious with a variety of flavours and food we’ve never had before. The cocktails were very nice, especially the melon drink. Dishes came out at a decent pace. The atmosphere is warm with the ambient lighting and smell of cooking meat. Staff were patient and friendly and took their time to explain each dish. Can recommend.
Excellent restaurant. A special place to enjoy a great night out. Go for the tasting menu and enjoy! We went for my wife's birthday. She loved it. Turned out that it has been the best restaurant her boss took her when she first visited Sydney. What are the odds? What a fortune! Highly recommended!
We had great diner here the other day. The food as very good, interesting and different. Best dish in my opinion was the eggplant, but my friend couldn’t get enough of the calamari… All dishes are pretty small so we ended up ordering quite a few to share. My only complaint would be that there are no chairs, just stools and they aren’t the most comfortable.
Came to try to weekend tasting menu over and sat the counter. Been to other related restaurants as well, so wanted to give this a try. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. To journey of the food was well thought out, from some light entrees, to more heavy mains, then a citrus noodle to get through the oils. The dishes were cooked well overall, with a different take in the sauces and meats of the yakitori like the noticeable soft bone with the tsukune to add texture. Overall a good experience and great atmosphere, especially for a date night. Will recommend!
Excellent little Yakitori joint. The atmosphere & ambience was nice and cozy, and the decor traditional East Asian. Had the set menu, and most of the dishes were pretty good. Simple, fresh, yet with a complex taste. The Sapporo beer on tap was crisp and fresh. Highly recommended for a nice Japanese experience.
Absolutely amazing experience! Celebrated my mum's birthday in Chaco Potts point, and they didn't disappoint. Food is exceptional, it is easily, if not one of, the best meals we've ever eaten must try: Uni wagyu and Chawanmushi . We love the service, Chaco bar team- everyone is so friendly and professional. Special shout out to Tim for an exemplary service. Highly recommend! Everything about this place is great!
I love this place! I’m glad my friend took me to this place when I was in Sydney last week. Easy to get a reservation, but try to do it at least few days before. Well presented, beautiful service and don’t forget to order the cocktails
Our first time here. We tried the weekend tasting menu and we loved it. We were also impressed with service here throughout the entire night. It made our dining experience a delight. Big shoutout to the front manager i assumed, who was polite and apologetic because they were running behind schedule from our appointed time. We are more than happy to wait for our table given this experience. Good job team chaco bar
What a wonderful treat! Chaco Bar prides themselves of serving quality food! I came with a small group of friends on a Saturday evening. We enjoyed the set menu which at first I was worried it wouldn’t be enough food, but it was more than enough. My favourite parts of the meal was the chicken crackling, wagyu outside skirt and the chawanmushi egg custard
Was seated in front of the kitchen and had a great view of everything. As it was a Friday night, there was no al a carte only the $95 tasting menu. Every single plate that we had was amazing, couldn't fault any of it. If I was to be super critical, the only thing would be was that they just about double parked plates, meaning at times some of the newly arrived dishes when eaten weren't piping hot.
