Tonight we ordered tandoori chicken half, a mango lassi and cheese & garlic naan & for mains the butter chicken & lamb Rogan josh. Overall everything was satisfactory & tasted how it should Tandoori chicken- very flavourful & good portion Very impressed Will definitely order from here again Keep up the good work team !
I’ve been coming here religiously for a few years now, usually making the most of the $12.99 takeaway mains they offer from Monday - Wednesday. The butter chicken is top tier! Totally loved our dinner at Chaahat last night. Service was excellent, food was amazing and shockingly well-priced! Plenty of vegetarian options. The restaurant was packed, but our food was beautifully prepared quite quickly. We were a group of 9, and nobody was kept waiting long. Kids loved the smoking brownie - but beware - the platter is terrifyingly hot. They will get burned if they accidentally touch it. The mango kulfi was a much safer bet - beautifully presented, and just like all the food - with an authentic taste of India.
First time at this place and got their chaahat special nan bread and their lamb korma and it’s ABSOLUTE BOMB. Looks like this place is my new go to spot for Indian food and I do dare say this place is probably better than paradise and I went earlier this week. Good texture with the nan bread not too chewy, lamb korma the sauce is flavorful and meat is tender, sauce isn’t too creamy and doesn’t feel too fatty. Got the rice on top that wasn’t complimentary that costed a bit more but no biggie. Can’t wait to go back again for my cheat meal
OK hands down, the best place for your bucks in terms of portion. All curry have lots of meat!! Worth every penny. My friend ordered a medium but it definitely was more like hot so that was a pretty big let down. We also ordered for takeaway and said will take 25 minutes. Arrived there and the food was still warm but when we got home 10min drive it was cold. Might be better to shorten the pick up time so food is still hot. Otherwise, keen to come back here.
I've been to Chaahat on two separate occasions six moths apart with different family members. We thought the curries were fresh, fragrant and excellent. Butter chicken and steamy lamb firm favourites. Friendly staff and tasteful decor.
On all other occasions I would have given them a 10/10 however it’s becoming harder and harder to support local businesses like these. There was a large bearded man who seems new who has no sense of customer service. Would be good to train him. I can’t be bothered to complain about him but I almost can’t trust the food after his attitude. This place has had the best food ever, to get served like that would make anyone want to switch restaurants. No more rice when you order, not a big deal but it was always a nice thing not to worry about. I feel horrible to write this as the owner is such an amazing host. I guess times are changing making it harder for business to afford rice and good quality staff. So disappointed, time to find a new favourite Indian spot :
Superb food. We ordered for kadhai paneer and dal makhani. It was delicious. Customer service was excellent. Clean bathrooms. There is parking available.
Excellent all round restaurant. Service was decent, food really nice and pricing good value. We had the mixed platter for entree and Chicken Saagwala for main. Delicious. Garlic Naan was also nice.
Affordable prices but my first experience with the food was mediocre. Saagwala and raita lacked flavor, I added my own spices at home. It was my first time having hara bhara kabab and enjoyed that the most Great customer service and restaurant looked really nice but I had takeaway. I may try eating in the restaurant in the future.
