Story

Cha's Cabin is widely known for our fabulous dinner buffets on Friday and Saturday Nights - with unlimited hoppers, stringhoppers, thosai, rotis etc etc not forgetting the mouth watering dishes such as devilled calamari, chilli prawns ,pepper pork, cashew beef, buriyani, spicy rice, curries, sambols to name a few. To assist the non curry eaters, Cha's Cabin also has lasagna, pasta carbonara, roast beef or pork, scalloped potato, fish in butter sauce and many other mouth watering dishes.

With a new concept being developed, Cha's Cabin is having a crab lunch on the last Sunday of every month, so come on all you crab lovers, you are sure to enjoy a delicious and authentic Sri Lankan crab curry with lots of other dishes available for lunch. Cost is $28.00 per head including desserts.

Desserts also are included in the price of $28.00 per head which consists of our very own wattalapan, caramel, kulfi ice cream, pavlova, jelly, sticky date pudding to name a few.Cha's Cabin is also popular with their take away menu offering a wide selection of items.

You can’t add raw chilli powder to already cooked chicken kottu and call it a spicy chicken kottu. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth.Food: 2/5
Great food with a reasonable price tag!, atmosphere is welcoming and so much fun. Great music! The staff/owners are all super sweet and hospitable. Keep up the good work. We had a wonderful dinner and come back again. Highly recommended !!!

I use to support and dine at this restaurant when they first opened over 20years ago and OMG the food service and atmosphere was amazing 10/10 It's been many years since I've visited due to moving to the Mornington peninsula. I just checked up if this business is still operating and it is So I'm definitely going to make plans to travel and dine there again, maybe take some friends so they can experience the wonderful dining as I once did. Cha’s Cabin is an ideal place for get togethers. Authentic delicious food, Karioke , live music,sharing,caring,fun, laughter & bit of dancing as well. We had a great night. There Buffett was so affordable. There was a huge variety of main foods as well as desserts.Love it. There customer service was outstanding. Above all I love & adore the live music with dancing.
As usual Cha's Cabin did not disappoint! Attended a birthday party for forty guests for Sunday Lunch and as usual the great spread of food was excellent, tasty and overflowing, total value for money! Hosts are super accommodating, easy and friendly to deal with and super efficient with years of experience behind them, so nothing was wanting! Cosy and intimate ambience, great food, and a regular two person live entertainment the owners themselves! what more do you need for a lovely Srilankan sing-song party! Highly recommended!
