Linda was nice and efficient. There was an issue with my name listed on Medicare. I contacted Medicare numerous times but can't get it sorted until I visit Services Australia at Chatswood. Linda fixed up the issue for less than 10 mins.
Not too sure what the issue people have had with this Medicare/Centrelink centre but did not experience any of the rudeness or negative attitude people have said on here. I was there today for Medicare renewal, checked in at reception by a very polite lady, waited around 20mins and was seen to and all done in 10mins. Being polite and considerate to staff helps as well, at the end of the day, they are just trying to do their job and are humans as well.
Pretty simple procedure. Before I entered the building, the security guard asked me to scan in and register for Covid tracing, then he asked me three questions, and then I went upstairs and talked to the receptionist who asked me the same three questions, and then I waited for about only 15 minutes, and the lady who attended to my issue was very courteous. So no problems. All good.
Centrelink offices and employees run on tax payers money and most of them never get to benefit from it. But if you do need help from them, make sure you are ready to be treated as a second grade citizen. They are their to just sit, relax and enjoy the paid time. When it comes to help with claims they are a bunch of muppet. I pay over 60k in taxes per year but my first experience with Centrelink was horrible and the Chatswood customer care agent and the team lead made fun of me.
Husband and myself are quite elderly and rather hopeless with modern technology, however, we were attended by a most compassionate and caring staff member, Julie. Nothing was too much trouble. Would love to pass on our thanks for top service at Medicare, Chatswood branch.
Ive been scared to go since my bad experiences, they made me feel sick and destroyed my mental health. Whenever I think or sees centrelink I feel very sick and scared can’t make it to there cos I’m shaking. Now my kids stuck can’t go to school because of it I still can’t make it to the centrelink. I would just do home schooling or go straight to the school and ask, buy private insurances to avoid them all together. I feel that’s their goal anyway
Staff were efficient and pleasant. We saw financial services staff and he was exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable.
3 stars for a gapped professionalism. We were helped by a lovely lady called Linda who delivers the best service and we had a great talk. Wonderful exp. However the first guy who helped us had this somewhat dismissive attitude and not too good a comprehension.
Quick and efficient even though it was quite busy and crowded
