Australia should be shameful to have a university like cqu. I can't believe they take more than 1 or 2 months for the GTE step and months for the coe. OH MY GOD, I am so angry that I am not even applying to Australia now. This university feels worse than any university in a third-world country. They don't even bother to answer your call even if you call them 100s of time. They don't answer your email and texts. They ask for a document and get lost for a few weeks and ask for another document, and the process continues for a 1,2,3 or even more months.
Absolutely Amazing experience at the Dentist with Sarah and Rachel. Would definitely recommend this to anyone thinking about going. The ladies were very professional with their work and honestly know exactly what they are doing. So impressed and really hope the University continues with the service.

Teachers don’t care about helping you. I called them during the allocated hours to try to get help with my assessment as it was confusing and always had spelling errors, at a uni, really? yet his phone was turned off! And when I did get a hold of him, his “phone died” yet made no effort to get in contact with me again. They’re just in it for a paycheck. And the chick responding to emails and telling you which teacher to contact doesn’t know what she’s doing. Multiple times she’s told me to contact the wrong person so I wasted 3 weeks waiting for him to respond just to be told I need to contact the other teacher. I even asked her if she was sure as I think I’m supposed to contact the other teacher and she said nope he’s the one to contact..... ‍
Hi, My score is overall 6.0 in IELTS & in two modules it's 5.5 nd in other two modules it's 6.0. Can i apply for masters in information technology on this score? One more question is Rockhampton a regional area?
Do NOT study at CQU go to QUT elsewhere anywhere but CQU or other uni. Lecturers put in no time explaining or bare minimum on what is expected with assessment pieces. they have little regard for teaching and care more about research. Also the quality of the material they teach after being out in industry and working is a joke and definitely what they teach is far from what is applied in real world. I was given 2 of 20 marks because the lecturer did not like my flow chart format for code. when all his requirements were on the assessment criteria explanation was "Graphical representation of code" no explanation or examples set out as to what was expected. The effort put in does not equate to their expectation of what they get out of students. their expectation is not even well crafted due to their lack of effort in forming course structures and assessment pieces. This uni has been a nightmare to study at. The staff are rude and incompetent. I have a GPA of 6. but since I have started calling out lecturers on their general disregard for students my marks have started to decline. Funny that, the uni is a joke really. I would not even consider the courses material to be of a high quality and on par infact worse than youtube videos. If you want my advice you could get a better degree from Youtube, or plainly just study at one of the other regional universities if you must. The uni will boast that the lecturer contact hours is their biggest benefit, however it is a shame really as they don't respond to your emails and you have to hassle them constantly to get anything done or a response out of them. If you are a student at the university you are treated by the staff in a foul manner like you are disposable and not a paying customer.

Do not go. Maybe worth it if you are distance student but for on campus internal students wanting to study at the main campus in Rockhampton don't go. You will be pretty much online learning as a lot of the lecturers aren't even based in Rockhampton, I don't know how many courses actually do tutes, mine this semester only one out of my three does, and the lectures are only an hour too. Just simply not enough actual face time learning from experienced qualified academia's that you're meant to be paying so much money to learn from. CQU is definitely not up to standard. I'm definitely looking at changing.
If you wish to study Nursing, I would highly recommend that you choose a different University. CQUni changed the course program after being accredited from the Nursing and Midwifery board. This resulted in students receiving new study plans that were incorrect and were to the financial incentive of the institution. The Governance Department will not help and the Student Ombudsman will provide minimal assistance. Senior lecturers made promises in writing and then reverted their promises - which was of determent to my entire study program. The language used in emails from 'professionals' within the university is amusing, and is reflective of the quality of the individuals that are employed within the University. If you wish to study at a university where every semester minimal communication is provided to you, outrageous demand emails are sent your account, and administration attitude is of a laissez faire style is adapted - CQU is for you.....
