This place took a simple matter and turned it into over a 4 year nightmare. They had no "fight" in them for my rights. Just wanted to settle for whatever my ex partners lawyer demanded. I was the one that had to fight and fight. Then, once settlement was reached, they refused to release my money to me for almost two years, despite the fact my ex had his settlement in full and had paid all of my fees. After finally having to threaten to report them I received my settlement but not a cent of interest. 
I may have been naive to think that a solicitor would always be your advocate and do what is in your best interests but I honestly would have been better off doing this all on my own. It would have been less stress and a whole lot less lawyers fees.

David Edney cannot be trusted. He is only in it for the money and has zero empathy for the children whose lives he ruins. My daughter threatened suicide living with the Ex and yet he did nothing, even when the Ex installed a spy camera in her room to stop her from running away!

In 30 years of business I have never dealt with a law firm so unprofessional and disorganised, the advice was atrocious and after  paying $110K I'm still at the start, I have changed firms and they cringed at the atrocious advice I'd been given, stupid mistakes, CE have taken no accountability, I would avoid this company at all costs, as there are many good ones.

Contrary to the opinions of Donna and Tara Paul - who have left a string of 1 star reviews for several other law firms across Melbourne, I have received excellent service from this firm and would wholeheartedly recommend them.
