Busy Branch. That have a simple notepad listing your name as you enter. If the greeter helps someone out, the this 'triage' system fails.
Very disappointed with the service and lack of care shown. I’ve booked multiple “health checks” and appointments none of which have been honoured. I was told over six months ago that I was eligible and that I could book in. After the third time of it not being honoured they either canceled, didn’t call when they said they would or wouldn’t call back I gave up. I attended other branches all of which were superb and very helpful. Now, it turns out that I had to return to this branch due to lack of appointments at other branches. I attended and the person I was supposed to see didn’t show up, someone else who had no idea they had to take this appointment took it. I told them initially that I had a negative experience with this branch and that I look forward to that being rectified in this appointment. The opposite happened, it just reiterated why I’ve been avoiding this branch as I got no help whatsoever. All of the questions I asked came with answers that were long-winded and didn’t actually answer my questions or they just told me to look at the app. I asked for then to walk me through some of the steps and they just kept trying to usher me out and said just do it on the app without answering my questions the whole reason I made the appointment to start with.
Horrible customer service I'm trying to retrieve money from commonwealth back I have lived abroad for over 10 years that time my account was closed by comm bank without my knowledge. the only way for me to retrieve them money is to come into a branch but since I live aboard I cant I was told by the head office that since Elsternwick is my branch i should speak to them to see if i can have a family member retrieve the money for me. I have called left numerous voicemails emailed the branch but no response. I made a compilate to head office was told that would receive a call with 24 hours still didn't receive a call.
I am surprised that 2.8 is the rating. Lazy unmotivared sarcastic staff....with assistance so poor one does wonder why we have alleged human beings serving...Disgrace
The customer service staff for general transactions are informative and lovely 5 stars for them. The specialist I saw was arrogant and ignorant. The specialist's appear not to even know their own rules as I had to outline documents from the commonwealth website. Truly pathetic and a waste of time.
Awful service! I went to this branch to cancel my credit card and bank accounts in person in mid 2017 and only my bank account was cancelled. I was not aware that my credit card was active and I got charged annual fee by Commonwealth. They sent letters to my old address to notify me, but I moved and never knew I still had a Commonwealth credit card. I eventually found out and had the card cancelled, but now I have a bad credit report showing that I had overdue payments for a long period of time, due to the card fee <$100. Very unprofessional staff! Very bad service! Will never consider Commonwealth for any financial services again.
Extremely slow waited over an hour for my booked appointment
One of my favorite banks so far. The branch has one ATM facing street, cash deposit machines open 24/7 and cash change machine. Careless cash facility is also available at these ATMs. All you need to open a bank account is your Passport. You can quickly apply for a credit card via mobile banking which is hassle free.
Disaster dealing with this bank..especially when I had my account fraudlently used, card should have been cancelled, this was not done, two different addresses for my account, one NOT my address, then card was sent to whoever and more transactions, rude staff too in Southland and still all under dispute...hideous service, rudeness and misinformed from staff via phone. Absolute nightmare and stressful..will sort out and never bank with Comm again. Tried calling the branch at least 12 times, left messages and no return calls. Even dealing with the Manager at Southland and to-date after trying to call and now leaving an sms no response. A disgrace
Wish they'd return my interstate phone call or is 24 hours too much to expect. But brilliant service when I lived in Melbourne and it was face to face.
