If you love delicious Korean Style Fried Chicken, go check out Caveman1961 Mount Waverley right now! I could not recommend Caveman1961 enough and I want more people to know about them! The menu is simple and straightforward. Choose how many pieces chicken wings and choose the sauces, which you can mix and match! For two people, I recommend at least 20 pieces with 10 on Original Cave Salt and 10 on Red Cave Salt. Only try Flaming Lava if you can truly handle spicy stuff! I also would recommend ordering the Korean Stew and I would recommend either Soft Tofu, Kimchi Pork, or Sausage Ham because I love my Korean Stew spicy! And if that is not enough, the Cheesy Corn, Kimchi Pancake, and Bibimbap are delicious addons. I come to dine in at Caveman 1961 at least once a every two weeks. I would take my friends here and their kids, and my family. Everyone of which could not get enough of the Korean Style Fried Chicken Wings. Sometimes we have had to order more, and you can take away what you don’t finish. So go check them out right now! Five Silver Spoons out of Five! Kid-friendliness: My friends kids love the Fried Chicken Wings and Cheesy Corn! If your kids love chicken, they will love dining here! Parking: Plenty of parking up front and all around!
A simple Korean menu where fried chicken is the go to. The family run restaurant is quirky but a great social to dine amongst friends. We were pleasantly satisfied with our chicken and cheesy corn choices accompanied by the mandatory Cass bevies. The chicken is not your average KFC but a different style which makes it worth the visit. Will be back for more.
The size of fried chicken wings is not big. There are lots customers when I dine in. The staffs are friendly and really polite. Thank you guys.
I went with my colleagues for dinner and we all loved it. All staff members are friendly and very accommodating. And all foods were very yum! Especially chicken and stew. I would come again and recommend to others as well!
The cost performance for this place is very good. You pretty much pay around $1 for each chicken winglet. Also the cheese corn gratin is pretty interesting. Great snack but just basically cheese and corn. I do still recommend trying it since it's pretty alright for the price. For the chicken, I recommend the cave salt flavour for sweet food lovers and the red cave salt for spicy food lovers. Although you might have a chance to try multiple flavors like I did because you ordered a lot of chicken. This is definitely a great place for large groups as well.
Bespoke Korean kimchi stew. We always order the pork belly tofu stew. Add 1 noodle to the stew as it boils and enjoy the stew with fried chicken. The best part is the when we finish the ingredients in the stew and add 1 bowl of rice to the remaining soup to cook down to a porridge this way of eating was shown to us when they had their restaurant in Glen Waverley which was so delightful as the owner's daughter isa cheerful and fun person. Great Chicken here. We had salted, sweet and spicey wings and they were all very good. The price is also fairly good as well. Staff were also polite. Overall experience was great. The corn and cheese dip plate is also very tasty.
Nice little Korean Chicken joint. Though they specialise in just chicken wings rather than actual fried chicken.
Always wanted to go and finally had the chance!!! Ordered red salt and sweet lava, so delicious.. the owner was so kind, he offered us free drinks as we can only order chick wings currently, kangsanmida
Absolutely the best Korean fried chicken in Melbourne! The stews are also delicious when added with a topping of ramen. Beef stew we had was generous and suitable for kids. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit.
