Food pretty average. Only time I have had to ask for and pay for gravy to go with my bangers and mash. Rooms atrocious. Overpriced, dirty and unhygienic. Was told live music which was pretty good would finish at 12:30 am. Was not told disco would go to 3 am. Ridiculously loud. Had to stop at a rest stop outside of town to rest for couple of hours to be able to keep driving. Avoid staying there at all costs.
$110 for a room that the blankets were not washed the jug was very grotty. I could of got a budget motel way better than this but l had to catch a bus from the train station by 8am and this was close to the station. I wouldn't ever stay or even recommend this hotel to anyone.Rooms: 1/5
I don't know in which universe this place is a 4 star hotel, but not mine. The carpet smelt of cigarette smoke, the toilet didn't flush properly, the bedding had cigarette burn marks, my bed was propped up on books and the final straw was a cockroach running up the wall behind my head. I was expecting pub noise and cheap and cheerful, but not squalor.
A welcoming place with friendly helpful staff the accommodation is simple yet comfortable and clean, i would highly recommend this establishment for a one night or a longer stay Nearby activities: A must when in Dubbo is a visit to the old Dubbo goal and of cource the taronga Western Plains zoo. Walkability: Easy walking distance to the local shops, restaurants and cafes Food & drinks: A great place for a cold beer after a long day's travel i couldn't sampel their food as my visit was on a public holiday but if what i experienced was a measure im sure their food would be great
How can they claim to be a 4* hotel? I've stayed in 1* motels better than this place. Slanted bed. Cigarette stench. 5am beer barrel delivery. Grotty.Rooms: 1/5
An excellent overnight stay. Clean, basic but very comfortable room and friendly, helpful staff. We visited from Sydney and decided to stay overnight due to the brewing fierce storm. Last available room had 2 single beds and shared bathroom facilities, fine with me. The building is about 100yrs old and I love that most of the original features have remained. Recommended for anyone wanting basic but clean accommodation. Ps, we did not experience any offensive smells!

I had the roast of the day, which was lamb. Served with a mint sauce chips and veges. For 14 bucks, I thought i was dreaming. The portion size was satisfying and the service was excellent. The bistro was bustling with people, it seemed the place to be if in need of a good feed and a good time out

Booked on Monday online. Confirmed late arrival around 10-11pm. Yea no worries. Rang again before I headed off on the road. Everything is ready park around the back in the secure parking area and just see the staff in the bar though the main entrance to pick up your key to your room. Ok sweet. Arrived at the pub. Yes finally get to rest my head after the drive n b fresh for the big day of training tomorrow soooo tired. This is like 10:20 pm ish. NOPE can't find my key. Booking is there but no room key.. bar staff very apologetic and had other customers to serve.. but he suggested ill let u in with the master key and u can have the room for free. Someone was in there! Argh.. back down stairs on the phone calling managers and serving the patrons. Meanwhile im waiting. 20 minutes past. Could I grab a drink? Sure have it on me.. cheers down she goes and so does the time with it and another drink. Long story long. Abiut 30 minutes later Old mate got my room n I got his. Sweet its closer to the girls amenities. Ok no worries.. just wNt to go to sleep. Open the door.. eww what's that smell? Seriously not what I thought, nothing like the pictures on their website. The ladys was accross from my room. There wasnt any toilet paper not paper towel nothing! Lucky the place echos so much n the guy nxt to my room heard.. n my saving grace cme to the rescue from the boys loos. Thanks buddy life saver! I ended up falling asleep after reluctantly staying as the initial inspection was not at all welcoming. Yuck muck on the wall above the pillow so i pulled the bed into the middle of the tiny little room. About an hour passed n sum !%@$#* screaming and swearing woke me with a fright.. n that was me done.. no more sleep. Never again! Fair enough if u were stumbling up the stairs from the pub wasted.. but I was so very uncomfortable n just wanted a good night sleep
