I was let down by this firm. I had issues with a previous lawyer telling me one thing but then doing the opposite. Carr and Co. Started off great until the contract was brought out. I asked that no work be preformed if there wasn’t money in their trust account. I was advised by my lawyer that this is their credit policy as well. I thought I was in good hands but at the end of month a statement for $18,000.00 above what I’d already paid was received to my dismay. When they were contacted and asked how did this occur, with their own credit policy along my only request. I was told that the conversation never took place, that they wouldn’t continue with my case and wouldn’t return my documents until the debt was paid in full. This matter is still in dispute and I feel that people should know what lawyers do to clients. I will fight them on this matter as I have a full transcript of the meeting in question that proves who’s lying. Warning for anyone going to a lawyer. Always record your meetings for your records. Never give them the original documents as they will not return them if a dispute arises. Control the money you pay them with clear written instructions. Remember YOU are the client they are suppose to be helping but a lot of lawyes don’t see it that way. I would not recommend this company.
