I concur with Damian’s review below. Similar problem, my brake pads wore out after 30,000kms of use, it was replaced by Carfixers in late 2016 (17 months ago). Prior to Carfixers changing the break pads, my previous pads lasted for over 5 years, that’s 150,000kms!! As soon as I started hearing squeaks and metal on metal noises, I took the car back to Carfixers to see what they could do. He confirmed that the front pads had worn out and needed another replacement. Apparently it is “normal for break pads to last around 30 to 40,000 kms”. The person was very defensive and was blaming the manufacturer and even myself for bad driving. Said not to blame him as he’s only a mechanic. The best that Carfixers could offer me is to redo my breaks using some European brand BUT they will charge me as per normal charges. What a joke. I paid this business for a service/product that’s expected to last a “reasonable” amount of time. 30,000kms or 17 months of use IS NOT reasonable. As my previous driving record showed, I clocked 150,000kms without wearing my previous pads. Did Carfixers expected me to keep going back to them every 17 months to have my break pads replaced? No more repeat business from me nor my friends. J

Went here for years and to my great disappointment they are no good. You lost 4 customers because of it. Got brakes done without asking to have them done, just did it without permission only for me to have to get them done three months later as who knows what you did but the brakes went really bad And when checked by another mechanic the brake pads were totally gone?????? My car which was serviced by you had no problems with brakes but after two days of getting it back they squeaked really bad and felt like it was metal on metal, Midas machined pads and it was good again???? My tyres were never checked or rotated which I thought would be part of a service. Never ever again car fixers, made me lose faith in mechanics

Mechanic was pleasant to deal with and listened to what I was saying. A very fair price was quoted and adhered to. Work was carried out in a generous timeframe and care was taken with the interior of vehicle. Have referred friends to this workshop/mechanic due to the trust I have that they won't be ripped off as has happened with many others.
