Rose your an amazing host. When I needed a home away from home you guys were it. The rooms were always so clean and welcoming and you always went the extra mile. Next time I'm up those ways I'll be sure to check in at Capri Motel.
My partner and I travel North every holiday that we get and no matter what time we arrive at the Capri Motel, Betty is always there to greet us and let us into our room. We have been there many times and feel that it meets our needs as it is close to town and the beaches and the fishing spots in all directions. Betty or aunt Betty as my partner calls her is always accommadating and comes to chat with us when ever she can and always finds out information if we need help. We have found that the rooms are more than suitable as they contain a shower,double and/or single beds, toliet and cooking facilites for those that want to cook food themselves- hey if not then town is 5 mins down the road. The pricing of the rooms are reasonable and are cleaned and serviced including the rubbish removed on a daily basis unless you ask them not to do the daily service. There is a laundry there to use for a reasonable price of something like $2-$3 dollars a load and the washing machines are large and easy to use. The local bus tours stop and pick visitors up from rigjht outside the motel and then drop you back at the end of the day. As at most motels there are signs with rules that aren't hard to follow and I think from what I have seen and experienced at this Motel very reasonable. As for the water it is not like a major city for just washing our cars.Water is very precious up North especially in summer timeso if you take your car to the beach there is a place called lake Ngati which is fresh water and has ramp access for vehicles at Waipapakauri where anyone can wash any vechile for free and there is also the Kauri factory but they will charge you about $2 - $3 dollarsand their car wash cleans under the car otherwise use the carwash if you want to be picky. We intend to keep going to the Capri Motel it shore beats staying with family and you can come and go as long as you are considerate to the other people in the other motel rooms, the owner has always been polite and courteous to us and we have never had any issues ofr problems with the service - goodness me even the cleaners are polite and friendly.
CAPRI Motel is awesome. Betty is an awesome lady very helpful and has excellent customer service. I would encourage anyone to stay and Capri Motel. It is close to the shops and restaurants. Pak'n'Save is close to the Motel which makes it an awesome location to stay.
betty is so racist.. she told us to go back to our country... she threw our bags out when we were late in checking out for just 5 minutes. never ever going to stay there again... i think thats why she is going to sell the motel because she does not know how to run a motel. i have never seen a motel owner being rude and racist to anybody. she also came inside the motel room without knocking and started talking loud and started swearing as well
Very comfortable and roomy unit. Decore now 'retro' but delightful, nostalgic, clean and well serviced. Well equipped kitchen and superb service. We stayed over two weeks and would love to stay again next time :-

It's okay,it's just everything has an outdated feeling eg:the furniture,old beds and linen,the tv wasn't even a flatscreen tv lol Betty didn't even hand over the WiFi password in the first instance,which led me to believe it was falsely advertised,woke up to gang members yelling out yoza at 4am in the morning,right beside the road,bed felt like thier were fleas in it,overall a little disappointed.
Not so superior , it's only with good facilities.
