The Cape York Hotel is a recently refurbished pub, maintaining its old school charms while at the same time presenting a modern take on quality aussie food and beverage. With a variety of function areas from balcony sunset cocktails, formal dinners to beers at the bar, we cater to all sizes, needs and budgets. In early August we celebrated 90 years since the Cape York Hotel was first officially opened making it one of the oldest pubs in Far North Queensland and also our own one year anniversary since we've opened. In the past year the Cape York Hotel has flourished and became a social community focal point, with sponsorship of two of the biggest professional sports teams based in Cairns, both the FNQ Heat and the Northern Pride have used the Sports Bar as their clubhouse for the season. Both locals and tourists alike comment on the real true blue aussie feel, seeped in history which is visible to all with all the original imagery still hanging in the pub, locals still reminisce about where they were when the infamous 1987 gas explosion was. The Cape York Hotel looks forward making more lifetime memories with the Cairns community
