I spent about have hour trying to find a good chinese place close to our hotel. If I could give no stars I would. I struggle to comprehend how they chose to open a chinese restaurant. $63, and with every bite I ran the risk of food poisoning. Dim Sims were hard and tasteless, long soup taste like hot water and noodles and fried duck was also dry and tasteless. I would highly recommend trying another place before here.

A Launceston institution! Noel, Dianna, Fontaine and the rest of the staff really know how to welcome their guests and treat them to a fine meal. A huge range of 'standard' Australian Chinese fare and a number of hidden gems on Noel's special menu

Went with family for dinner and because I'm allergic to MSG I ordered what turned out to be a $29 tough, sinewy bit of steak (that I couldn't eat) and chips, and your response..... because I asked for my steak medium to well done (still bloody so definitely not well done) was incorrect, it was a cheap piece of steak you charged me a fortune for. On a positive note the chinese food was delicious according to the family.

Higher standards than the other Chinese restaurants ive been to in launceston so far, from the photos ive seen many HK Artistes have been here before such as Eason Chan, Jason Chan, and Pakho. However the price is quite expensive.

Not as bad as expected, but not great. I had quite some serious doubt when I walked into this restaurant, esp with quite some negative reviews I read on Google. I also do not believe in Chinese restaurant in small towns/cities - all the good Chinese food are found in Sydney or Melbourne, or China/Hong Kong. Yes I did overhear that they messed up with bookings several times, but they managed to fix them at the end. The owner lady seemed OK too. The food was better than expected. Reasonably authentic. But not great that I would give it a 5 star. They boasted their signature duck as recommended by the Hong Kong Tourism Board [and I do scratch my head - why on earth an overseas tourism organisation would endorse an overseas restaurant far far away?] - the duck is ok. Could only give it 3.5 stars out of 5. Overall, it's not a bad choice if you are in town, but don't expect too much.
