Cantina Movil is hands down one of the best food trucks in Sydney! I recently had the pleasure of trying their delicious Mexican cuisine at our company function and I have to say, I was blown away. The food is fresh, flavourful, and authentic - just like the kind you would find in the heart of Mexico. The menu has something for everyone, from mouth-watering tacos to hearty burritos and everything in between. I personally loved the chicken tacos - the meat was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Chipotle aioli was also a standout - creamy and full of flavour. The staff were friendly and attentive, and made sure that my order was exactly how I wanted it. The food was served hot and fresh, and I could tell that it was made with care and attention to detail. Overall, I would highly recommend Cantina Movil to anyone looking for delicious and authentic Mexican food in Sydney. Whether you're a die-hard fan of Mexican cuisine or just looking to try something new, this food truck is definitely worth a visit!
Chris was great to work with and helped us delivered an event which catered for 300 + university students. July, 2022!
On entering the restaurant I was greeted by a friendly bar staff who made me up a pisco sour which had very strong citrus sharp taste which was refreshing. I order the Chioptle beef slow roasted and shredded burrito with Mexican slaw which cost $11 + $1 for guacamole. The service here is very fast which I think from it start-up origins it had to be this originally started as a food truck service. The burrito amazing full of flavor and the right balance of spice to enjoy. My only let down was the for the price and the portion it was too small and was still hungry afterwards. The restaurant had a very Mexican theme to it which I really enjoyed with a nice garage seating area to chill out at. Got to actual meet one of the owners a few day after I came here, she was very friendly and had a real passion for what she did which are love about local business. They are also were the first food trucks to roam around the city of Sydney.
I've been here twice and both times my experience was terrible. I have only tried burritos. The second time I paid a visit, my friend and I both paid for gauc in our burritos but didn't get any. The staff member said he had made them himself and put guac in them. We had to show him an open burrito to get the smallest side portion of guac to share between us. It tasted terrible. Perhaps some of the other menu items are better made. If you're hungry go to Cafe Lounge nearby and eat there.
Walked in this place because I had never seen it before and It looked like they were serving food out of a van inside. Very friendly people and ended up ordering Nachos. Speedy, high quality food with a really cool mexican environment. Smaller portions that I would have liked, but still tasty.
One of my favourite mexican places in the era of fast food chains, fresh ingredients and the most succulent pulled beef. The must try items are definitely the icecream churro and vanilla flavoured and chilli corn! Rather than hunting for their food truck which floats around Sydney, the Cantina Mobil restaurant is a go to place when you're out and about near Oxford Street.
This was awful. Paid extra for guacamole and it was nowhere to be found. lo and behold i get to the end of the burrito and nestled in the folds of the end was a tiny clump of guacamole. I was left with basically a big chunk of mean in a wrap. It's like the hilarious online story of the vertically packed burrito but less hilarious when you are eating it.
The funky decor in the interior stays true to the origins of Cantina Mobil and livens up an otherwise awkward space. The menu stays true to the truck, serving up a set combination of tacos with various meats, nachos etc but seems pricey since it always leaves me wanting more. Perfect for a small snack during $3 taco happy hour.
Pretty laid back place, cheap $3 tacos, friendly staff and quite a cosy bar feel inside. Good place to catch up with some friends over some sangria and tacos. Wouldn't go nuts over the food however cheap snack material!
I've only been here twice, and both times I walked in during a night out, and both times have absolutely loved it! Quality, authentic, delicious Mexican street food, with a cool setup/environment.
