My mum has lived at Calvary Kingswood for over a year now and I just wanted to say what a consistently warm and caring atmosphere it has. The staff here are exceptional - attentive, compassionate, and always ready with a smile. They are respectful of the residents and genuinely care about their well-being and happiness. The engaging activities and the varied food also makes a big difference to my mum’s quality of life. Thank you to all the staff for the amazing work you do.
I knew that Calvary Kingswood was right for Mum as soon as I was warmly welcomed by the staff. I had been searching for somewhere caring for more than 18 months! Mum has been in their care for nearly 2 years now & our whole family are extremely impressed by the constant support & care that she receives. We consider our whole family to be very, very lucky indeed, as a direct result of all that the staff do, to ensure that our Mum has the best quality of life possible. We are truly grateful!
I have nothing but praise for this facility.nMy husband has been a resident there for the last 18 months and he has been beautifully cared for at all times. It is a homely atmosphere and the staff are very caring to all residents and their families.nThe activities are broad ranging, and there is something happening every day.nThe home is run by a Manager who is passionate about aged care and together with her staff there is always a feeling of warmth and welcome when I visit and they have become a second family to me.
I know in the past there were issues with certain staff abusing residents but my father has been there for over a year now and has nothing but praise for the staff. The staff are respectful and will contact me to let me know any medical care my father needs whether it be as simple as he has cut himself to appointments the doctor wants him to attend. The doctor is a doctor I would want for myself.nnWe, his children, feel at ease knowing he is happy to be there and we see nothing but friendly caring staff.nnPlease do not let the past influence your opinion. I have spoken with family members of other residents and they too are happy with the care their parents get at Mitcham Residential Care Facility.
I have been visiting my father in this facility for over 12 months, and find the staff generally friendly and caring to all of the residents. This is one of the better homes I have seen as it is like a small community and the staff know each other and the residents well.nI am not sure how they could have known to stop this, given the current privacy laws. And my father liked Corey and was shocked that it was him!nI have the utmost respect for the current management and staff that I know there. These caring individuals should not be blamed for the actions of another person.nThe daughter is to be commended for the steps she took to find out why her father was unhappy, as what she did was not something that the staff could have legally done.
