First ever visit to Cairns, early Jan 2022. As well as the terrific Cairns Foreshore and natural attractions we were delighted to find this huge shopping plaza in McLeod Street. Impressive range of retail outlets, including Myer, Target, fashion chains, supermarkets, liquor outlets, and large food hall. Also air-conditioning . Highly recommend a visit. It's also situated across from the famous Grand Hotel with the wooden crocodile bar. Lots of taxi's outside or call for pick up is very efficient.
Nice shopping centre about four blocks away from the tourist centre of Cairns. Place has a myriad of shops, mostly the usual franchise flavours. Well air conditioned, nice to get out from the hot spring sun. Pleasant food court upstairs in the middle. Cairns Station main departure of the Kuranda Scenic Railway and the Queensland Rail Office is next door via ground floor passage way. Easy walk down Shields Street to the water front and Esplanade.
This mall of cairs central is the biggest mall in this city. This malls have everything so they are convinced. I was wondering if you've been to the food court in this mall. please see the attached photo.
A great shopping centre with a good range of stores. Pretty small on the inside, compared to how it looks on the outside, but it is easy to navigate and has all of the essentials. It even has mall security roaming around, which I thought was interesting, as Sydney does not often have that. Overall, a good place to visit if you want some lunch, need groceries or clothes.
Plenty of parking available Lot's of security Friendly atmosphere
Nice shopping centre out of the unremitting heat of Darwin in March. Not as busy as western malls. Two places for a massage. I paid $45 for a 30 min foot massage. In the food court the Chinese restaurant was inexpensive and served delicious fresh food - sweet and sour and honey glazed pork with fried rice and noodles earned the thumbs up from me. Across the road the Grand Hotel has a nice bar with high tables and stools Devi g cold draught lager.
Our group came here after our flight to get food for our stay. We found everything we needed and there were plenty of options all together in one convenient space. It did its job, so that's 5 stars from me!
Great location and size , toilets need more attention though.
Some of the toilets are filthy, latches missing on stalls. Attitudes of some sellers are poor. Paying for parking is a turn off and means that after 3.5 hiurs I move on to complete my shopping elsewhere.. The only attraction is the few stores I can't access elsewhere. Not my preferred shopping centre at all.
Major shopping centre in Cairns. Have most of the big brand retailers. Heaps of parking spots with first 3 hours free. Free park for Sunday and PH. Welly maintained. Only food court will need to be improved as lack of choice. It will be nice to have a Chinese seafood restaurant for yum cha or dine in options.
