Superb service. The avocado on toast came with a delicious pesto drizzle on the side as well as some pickled vegetables; a great combination. Will definitely return!
Every now and then I discover a rare diamond in the rough. Let me introduce you to Cafe Nostra. Unassuming little cafe without bells and whistles and letting what they do best talk for itself. One of the most amazing burgers I have seen in a long time. The soup was delicious the staff were friendly and personable. I can honestly say I can not fault for much. Their coffee could be improved for me to score them 5stars. Thanks guys keep it real.
Delicious food with so many gluten free and vegan options. Their smashed avo board is phenomenal and a definite must to order, as are the hot pot baked eggs and zucchini fritters. Very friendly staff, too. Nice and cosy cafe! Their Instagram is great to check out all their delicious food. A lovely local cafe.
Okay, I'll admit that we weren't planning to eat here today but our first choice is closed Sundays. Actually, I'm glad that it was closed because we were super impressed with all aspects of Cafe Nostra. Service was quick and efficient and polite, and the food was delightful. Coffee was good enough that one of my companions who never has more than one a day, had two! There was nothing in any of the three dishes that was not tasty and prepared perfectly. We even grabbed an almond blueberry tart to go and it was perfectly chewy with the lightest of crunch on the edges and not too sweet. 10/10 will eat here again.
While the presentation is lovely, and the service very kind, the food itself is mediocre. Not bad, but not especially good either. The hot chocolate is from an average powder in a lovely glass, the eggs for the eggs benedict were good but not runny, and the addition of sides all over the top serve to confuse the taste rather than build it up, and the holondaise on the side was pointlessly finicky. All this wouldn't be as were it not for the five star prices they are asking when serving three star tastes. Disappointing. Although their cookies are great if grossly overpriced.
Coffee is really yum and staff are so friendly and helpful will be back here again for my morning coffee and almond croissant
The food was fine but service was not great. Due to the following issues we left feeling very dissatisfied with our experience here. - we were told that we can’t order more than 2 sides even though we were ordering 2 meals and 3 drinks and our 3rd person is vegan and gluten free so wanted to order avocado on GF toast and share the açai bowl. They reluctantly “allowed” us to order this after explaining. - when we asked if the granola had nuts in it, the waitress proceeded to tell us that she doesn’t know what nuts are in it, made no effort to go and find out, and told us they can’t bring it to the table if there is a nut allergy - even when I explained I’m not anaphylactic and my allergy is only to walnuts. We eventually got the granola after asking another waiter. - we were over-charged by $6.50 after all of this we were charged for a $8.5 croissant that we didn’t have instead of the $2 GF toast I unfortunately would not recommend this cafe for the above reasons, especially with many other cafes around.
Lovely, cafe on a sunny corner. Small seating capacity, delicious food. Not much else needs be said. Didn't try the coffee
Just an average experience. The staff were nice enough. I had two oat milk coffees and a croissant. Would have been four stars but the plain croissant was $6.50! That is ridiculous!! The coffees were not bad however I was the first customer in the morning and the lady behind the counter didn't let the steamer water out of the wand before she made my milk which is kind of gross.
Best food in Crows Nest. Do you a favour and try Smash Avo y the muesli. Coffee is ok
