We dropped in for brunch and ordered an open sandwich and toasted sandwich with coffees. The toasted sandwich could have been toasted a little longer as the cheese hadn’t melted. Otherwise, we loved the ambience, customer service, price, food and coffee. It’s certainly worth a visit.
Terrible coffee we ever had in our lives! We ordered a soy latte this morning and it tasted so bad like really burnt. I returned the coffee and the lady said sorry we will make you another one. The sconce one was as bad as the first one but they seemed to put more milk in it to kill the bad taste. They were not surprised when I return the coffee. Didn’t bother to return the second coffee and put straight it in the rubbish bin. They serve merlo coffee and it should take them really hard efforts to make such bad coffee. there can be an issue with their roasting process and not staff fault! Anyway, the worst coffee we ever had in our life. Avoid this place if you are coffee lover.
Great food and coffee however our experience was ruined by the supervisor named ‘Lynda’. After asking one of the kind waitresses for assistance she politely said that our request should be okay and asked Lynda for confirmation. Lynda was extremely rude to the staff and made me very uncomfortable. Yelling at your staff in front of customers is not a good look. Treat your staff with some respect, especially when they are trying to do right by customers.
It's a cafe in the middle of a mall, so it's as comfortable as it can be. Food is OK, but my wife's order was missing some of the listed ingredients. Also, a suggestion to the owners: if half your menu is unavailable, maybe block out those items on the menu board for customers before they order! It's frustrating for everyone to try and order a meal and lots of things aren't available. Customer service is lacking too, but food came out relatively quick which was good.
I ordered 4 meals and drinks. When I ordered the listed nuggets and chips for about $9:00, I was told they no longer had/sold chips and I would only get nuggets. When I asked if the advertised price was reduced the shop assistant seemed puzzled by this request. He went and asked somebody and said no the price was the same, but if I wanted they would give me a hash brown. I declined and cancelled the whole order.
Pros: - The coffee and tea was good. - They have fresh apple juice which not every cafe has these days. Cons: - They have three types of omelette in their menu and they won’t combine or add or remove the ingredients which is a pain! - The omelette was too salty and served with the cheapest sourdough you can fins in the market! - The lady at the counter wasn’t polite and helpful.
Tuna sandwich and hot choc were yum- but $10 for sandwich seems a little steep. Toasted ham and cheese- is more like sandwich made with toast- rather than a toastie. Also it’s the yucky kind of ham and toast wasn’t buttered. $10 for sandwich and coffee is a good deal. They also do a discount for seniors and centre staff but I forgot to ask so no idea what the discount actually is. Free bubbly water is a plus!
Food was ok. Not terrible but very average. Eggs were dry and not moist. My partners sandwich was a little over toasted. Nice chef and staff.
Paid over $30 for 3 sandwiches. All were stale. Not cut in half. No butter. No salt and pepper. Very plain and not put together properly. Way over priced for the tasteless things. Get better
I ordered the cheese burger with a side of chips and my wife had the eggs Benedict. The Burger was absolutely PERFECT. My wife enjoyed the eggs Benedict as well. Coming back for sure. Before we left, we shared this with the Manager in charge.
