The food was LOVELY! The drinks were enjoyable too. I had heard good things about the food and I would say it upholds those expectations too. Only downside is although the outside is lovely when it’s sunny out, the inside is slightly too dark for our liking, and slightly pricey. Otherwise the people who working, were lovely and friendly. Would go again!
An absolutely delightful little cafe on the heart of Palmy!nI had the vegetarian brekkie- Cauliflower and potato rosti, halloumi cheese, avocado and spinich minis the egg as i am allergic to eggs Hubby had poached eggs with bacon. Both reported as delicious and very generous servings.nCoffee was superb. A perfect crema on the long black, and apparently the foam on the latte was just right.nThe service is quick and very friendly.nWe had the Entertainment Book 2 for 1 discount which was a real bonus.nWe will be back!
The service was excellent. As we arrived an hour before the cafe closed, the staff politely told us that kitchen has closed and we can order whatever that is on the counter only. We had no problem with that as we only wanted some tea time snacks. The English Breakfast tea and the metal teapot wasn’t impressive but the tea cups were beautiful! It would be great if they serve their tea is nice porcelain tea pots. The ambience was definitely great, very comfortable to dine in a such a well decorated premise. I would recommend their bread pudding except that they were too rich in berries. If there is less berries, it would not taste as sour and the bread pudding will taste even better! The custard danish is quite normal, crust is a bit on the hard side and not as fragrant. Overall, I would still like to come back again for their excellent service and ambience.
- 2x Vegetarian breakfast:nOne of our eggs was nice and runny, the other was over cooked and not runny at all, the halloumi is good quality not too firm, good potato gratin, baby spinach good, relish good, kūmara chips on top were also nice; overall okay flavour; doesn’t look like much food for money, but will satiate your hunger.n7.5/10nn- Regular mocha:nGood temperature, sweet foam, a bit too chocolatey.n7/10nn- Bowl Flat white:nFun, good temperature, okay bitter foam, nice bean roast.n7/10nnThe lemons in the water weren’t washed and there was dirt floating in the water.nGlasses and pitcher were dirty and had spots all over them. 0/10nnNo vegetarian croissants, or other pastries; everything that isn’t a cake or macaroons has bacon in it.nnNear by attendees had ordered not long after us, and waited half an hour for their food, and have not received it.nProbably best to come earlier and on an off day. I feel they need at least one more staff member to be a dedicated waiternnThe ceiling was dirty, and the paintings were wonky; the feet of the table made it hard to adjust the chair.nEnvironment 5/10.
Excellent service and delicious food on a lovely setting. My turmeric latte was so tasty and so was the buttermilk chicken salad. The salad itself is very tasty and full of lots of different vegetables and very filling. My husband had the omelette which was also very nice, and our friend had lambs fry which was also top notch. I would definitely recommend this place over many other cafes in town. The tight policing of the vaccine pass on entry made me feel very reassured to eat here. We will be back.
