Very Very Very Average customer service. I ended up buying a house that was listed with Buxton Newtown .  There were no hassles from a transactional perspective involving the transfer of title etc ( much of this is automated by hiring a conveyancer anyway, so it is inconsequential who the real estate agent is for that purpose). In my view the agent's job is to service the relationship on both ends ( vendor & buyer) in fair and open manner. 

Buxton were overly friendly at the beginning, before the deal was finalised and trivialised any issues which were raised (e.g. locks not fit, keys not working etc.), they verbally promised that they would liaise with the vendor to have these issues resolved, and that the issues were trivial in the scheme of things.

Post settlement:

Fast forwards 7 weeks ( I went travelling in this time). None of these issues were addressed. upon my return, when I called Buxton, they basically didn't want to hear from me, and their only advice was to contact our conveyancer to write to the vendor to see if the vendor can be bothered to address these small issues (which by the way Buxton's representative had laughed off as something that they can have fixed before they roll out of bed!). Now I am not going to engage a conveyancer to fight a $100 battle over locks, but the false impression of exceptional service has dented the quality of this entire deal.

My advice when dealing with Buxton Newtown ( if you have to deal with them) is to procure everything in writing, and not rely on their charming verbal promises.
