Celebrated Father’s Day here back at the beginning of September. Loved the ambiance of the place and hope next time will be able to enjoy food inside of the old tram. Service was reasonably quick and friendly. Portions are generous and tasty and loved that you can pick and choose your sides to go with your meat. The only thing we wouldn’t order again was chocolate brownie as it wasn’t the way we expected it, sour cherry mouse thought was delicious.
I am all about sharing food and Butcher and the Farmer is perfect for that. The venue itself is just stunning. It features a beautifully restored heritage tram in a restaurant that can seat up to 300 guests. It also contains a fully integrated butchery. Using some of the finest meats and the freshest produce, every mouthful kept me going back for more. I could not fault a thing with the dishes we ordered. Everything was prepared and cooked beautifully and the flavours were on point. The venue is dog friendly so bring your fur baby and enjoy a fantastic feed at this place!
Bright and airy, with great atmosphere and attentive servers. Went for breakfast and a little wait outside as we where walk-ins. The coffee was good and their menu looked very enticing. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and now very curious to try more on their menu. Their breakfast roll had amazing maple smoked bacon in it and their shakshuka was brilliantly flavoured. Great spot for an enjoyable meal.
We had a light lunch here with friends. And although it was vegetarian and fish. The food was absolutely delicious! We had ordered the mushroom and mash pie, which came with a salad, and also ordered calamari, which came with aioli. Both were delicious, and portions were spot on as shown in the photo The service is lovely. Would recommend it and can't wait to go back again!
Came here randomly on Australia Day. It’s got a nice vibe, with the unique butcher shop being linked directly to the restaurant you can actually buy meat there. We came for the restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. The service was quite good with attentive and friendly staff. We got the calamari had an interesting sauce which was quite tasty but the chilli in the calamari has quite a strong kick, the burger with the fries the fries were cooked well and apparently the burger was also a very good burger, and lastly the brownie with caramel popcorn and ice cream rich chocolate that melted in your mouth - I’m usually not the biggest fan of chocolate, but this brownie was very good; the combination of the ice cream, brownie and popcorn was an enjoyable elixir of tastes and textures!! Would recommend! The only thing is that they charge $5 per person as the public holiday surcharge. I found that quite strange as it is usually a % of the bill, but ‍
Love the atmosphere here in summer as they have a relaxing indoor outdoor vibe. They have an awesome sunset menu till 7pm which includes a range of drinks and snacks- we had the cocktails and bruschetta which were at an affordable price. Friendly service. Ribs were also cooked perfectly :
Had the half rack of ribs and fudge for desser. Ribs were of a good portion but chips were not the crispy type that I would prefer. The dessert was very rich/heavy…the service I had I would rate as passable at most…. Waiters didn’t bother refilling water and almost forgot my dessert order…
from farmer to butcher to plate! situated in the leafy, rustic @tramsheds at Jubilee Park is a no-frills venue with great options for starters and mains. starting off with some delectably soft wholegrain sourdough rolls with confit garlic herb butter, these were heavenly and just the carb overload we needed the crispy prawn tacos were fantastic, polenta crusted with crunchy slaw, chipotle yoghurt, charred corn salsa and lemon myrtle the smoky chilli wings were surprisingly not hot at all although i am slowly improving my chilli tolerance! but had great flavour with a buffalo-style sauce and meat so so juicy. we also just couldn't pass up the 3 cheese dip with blended Gouda, Gruyere, and Edam cheese with grilled sourdough. so rich and heavenly, we scooped this up so fast! we also decided to try an Angus beef burger, which was just as rich and delicious. topped with a soft potato bun, this came loaded with cos lettuce, bacon jam, pepperberry aioli and American cheese served with crispy chips. we loved! check out my food instagram @erinxeats for more!
Super fresh and tasty dishes, I've not yet had a disappointing meal here! Their meats are cooked perfectly our fave this visit was the honey glazed pork belly, but also love how well their veggie dishes are executed and not boring at all. Also one of my fave spots to bring visitors - dining in or next to and old Sydney tram is quite an experience!
Discovered this place via The Fork. Had dinner here and ordered steak. Meat was superbly cooked to medium rare as requested. A cool setting. I like the tram being seatable although I didn't sit in there. Hope to come back again.
