A great little jewel close to the city, with short nice walks and some wildlife including some lizards and a lot of turkeys. The view is fantastic and there are beaches to take a dip if wanted or needed. Some of the trails are doable for anyone.
We took a walk from Burleigh Head National Park to Tallebudgera Beach. It's a beautiful, easy-to-navigate trail suitable for all ages, with no stairs or steep sections. Highly recommend giving it a try! There are plenty of great spots for photos along the way.
Easy walk, 5-10 mins to lookout depending on speed, can keep going to small private beach and do a loop in about 30-40 mins.nMust do when on the Gold Coast, with fantastic views, the beach is also nice as it is quieter, however it is on a river just keep in mindnOnly problem is parking, some paid which are limited, and even more limited free ones
There are like three decks on the hill.nIf you climb a few minutes from north entrance, you’ll arrive at a mini mdeck with a view of north coastlines to Surfers Paradise.nAfterwards, climb until the top of the hill to reach the summit deck that you are able to enjoy the magnificent scenery of southern Gold Coast beach stretching to Coolangatta emerges.nThis was my first time climbing a hill/mountain and I’ve been afraid to do so because of me fearing all kinds of insects, especially spiders and wasps.nI was sweating a lot and kinda exhausted after climbing, but all the works were paid off when I saw the long-stretching beach.nThis hill is definitely one of the must visit places in Gold Coast and it’s good for taking a stroll out here.nThe easiest way to visit here is to take the G link tram to Broadbeach South, transfer for the 700 bus, and get off at Burleigh Heads bus stop.
Well worth a gentle jaunt through the NP. The cool rainforest cover was a welcome relief and the views were exceptional. Lots of iguanas skittering about and sun baking on rocks. Not at all challenging and worth the leg stretch.
