Your typical fast food feed... good service but not a place you want to sit in and eat, takeaway recommended

First of all the entrance to the place us littered with pushbikes and skateboards and the cage outside the main door has a collection of unruly youths playing hoops and swearing loudly as they comment and make many patrons uncomfortable. 
Next we step inside and we are greeted by an entire restaurant area of dirty unwiped tables,  food littering the floor throughout the eating area, spilt drinks and filthy lids and cups all around the drink dispensing  machine. Finally we make it to the service counter and order two meals choosing to upgrade from chips to the new spiral chips for free as advertised with any large value meal -- This was not to be. I was charged for the spiral chips ($4.75 each)!!!
After waiting over 20 minutes for our order I queried the extra charge and pointed out the prominent advertising on the menu boards. Was told ..."Manager not available so keep your receipt and come back and speak to the manager. We don't have time to discuss this just now -- it's not even $10 so no biggie really" 
As if I wasn't pissed off enough at the total lack of cleanliness, non existent customer service and terrible attitude already when we finally got out food and cleaned our own table to sit at -- all of the burgers contained pickles (gherkins) despite requesting none twice during the order process.
The food was duly deposited in the rubbish, chips eaten and Sunday eaten. No drink could be had as dispensing machine area filthy and no lids for cups and spilt drink everywhere.
Come on Burger King. Clean up your act. Other stores in this chain are awesome yet our home town one is rampant with filth and disgusting attitudes.
Our crew prefer BK over the other fast food chains but it seems we will have to choose another option for Invercargill as this is bad from the minute you approach the entrance and just gets progressively worse as you go thru the doors.
Several people commented on the state of the place and lack of cleaning and we watch three other parties leave without consuming their food because of the unpleasant surroundings.

Quite a nice place to stop and chat with a bite to eat or maybe a drink...good location and plenty of parking if you decide against using the drive thru...
