Not very satisfied with Burger Barrel. While the burgers look appetising the bun was a bit stale and the burger was somewhat dry. Not sure if it was where we were sitting but also wasn't very pleasant being surrounded by buzzing flies which probably isn't their fault. A bit on the expensive side as well.
Very unique burger place. Staff is kind and efficient. They have gluten-free bun options available! Can be dairy-free if you choose to take off or pick a sandwich that doesn’t include dairy. I absolutely love the grilled barramundi sandwich! It’s unique because the burger is dressed with a quinoa “salad” and avocado “dressing”
Really can't say no to the juicy chicken wings and the tbt music. Service was really good. Strongly recommend coming in on Monday for 50c wings. The brown sugar BBQ sauce is something that you can't resist. Would be nice if the buns were a bit more crunchy and thick.
I ate a classic Coogee Burger - meat, cheese and salad - with chips. It was good and tasteful. The service is good and nice. That's a great place to eat when you are on Coogee and region.
This place is set up like an American burger joint. They even have all the American sauces and mustards available. The burgers taste ok but lack something.
Fail!!! We felt having burger and chips for lunch and decided to try Burger Barrel. Nice decor, average burger, big fail on the chips. You can’t serve old-cold-depressing chips especially when you sell burger and chips. Silly cheap mistake easily fixable if you want to try to survive in Coogee Bay Road.
Ahhhh.. Not so good. Dry burgers, nothing special, not worth $18, fries are boring. The employees don't smile or even bother to acknowledge you besides taking your order or taking your food to your table even, didn't ask for feedback, didn't clear any tables unless a customer asked them too. The place felt very heartless.
Burgers are good but not the best I've had. The first time I had a burger for Burger Barrel was with Uber Eats. The pulled pork burger was ok, but the beef burger was so good. The second time I had the Biggy Smalls and the beef burger again but was really disappointed. So not very consistent in quality.
Absolutely appalled at what they have just served me!! Opened my burger to find that the 'chicken' inside was as thin as a piece of bacon and burnt to a crisp!!! Whoever made that burger knew fine rightly they should not have served it!!!!
I like this little burger joint just up from Coogee beach. It’s relaxed and fun with a great vibe and chilled staff. The burgers are not huge but tasty - nice to have a burger place not confuse size with quality! The chips are thick and crispy... They also make wicked chicken wings. Tasty beer and ciders are available... and best of all, it is a great place to people watch!
