There are issues at this Bunnings.  Yes, it is new, and very clean and bright.  Being new, a lot of new staff, though a few experienced staff have been moved down from the other store.
From my observation over a few visits, this is wholly a management and training issue.  Yesterday I was after some steel footings for a new pergola.  Asked a staff member in the tool shop and was told "they are down that way, towards the end".  They weren't.  Also poor attitude.  After searching, next staff member (lady, very cheerful) told me they are down there in isle such and such, OK, down there and nothing but timber doors.  OK, walked another 100 metres and asked a staff member I recognized from the old store, whom  was very welcoming and he told me exactly where they were, what packaging to look for, excellent, very helpful!  Looking for another item (should have asked for all items from the experienced staff member) and two staff members chatting, not wanting to interrupt their conversation, I stood there within view but to one side, they just kept chatting.  So I walked off.  By this time had had enough,  and so left the store.  This is all about training, focus and attitude.  
So next team meeting, please read out my comment.  This is easily fixed.  
Otherwise, love the store, and it's so big, you burn off  a few calories...

I live close by to Bunnings, I love this place, the DIY assortment is terrific, and the staff is friendly and helpful. My only gripe is that since I love gardening, I usually dabble in all techniques from vertical farming to hydroponics and so on. The issue is that they don’t supply these things there. 

Another aspect that I highly appreciate is the plant centre, where grown plants are being sold. Don’t think I ever left Bunnings without looking greedily at some of those, they’re a bit on the expensive side when it comes to fruiting trees, but otherwise, they’re fairly reasonable in pricing. 

Love the place and with all honesty I rather go there for leisure strolls prior to any purchase.
