A real pub with fast service. Great comedy venue downstairs.

The bull & bear is a good old fashioned pub with great customer service, friendly bar staff and Brian is always nice to us. The food is great- really good value. The upstairs area has a good vibe to it. They even do take-away for us when we are too busy to leave the office. Do yourself a favour and check out the bull & bear!

We're been here a few times when in the city for something.  Last time was the week before Xmas 2016.  As usual, we had dinner, but we get there early and eat upstairs in the bar area.  Never had a complaint about the food or service.  A relaxed, never-crowded, atmosphere.

Good basic pub to have a beer in. The front bar is best. Just simple and relaxing. The downstairs pool tables are busy and good fun on a Friday night after work.

Small, cute old school pub. Went for a few beers, the wait staff we're very welcoming.

Walked in hungry and a bit late for the kitchen. But still got a feed and service was awesome. Country style hospitality in the city.

A hidden treasure..Very small but cosy and good atmosphere. Very reasonable prices

Not a bad steak for the price.  Good wine selection too.
