The lady was friendly but couldn't speak good English. She gave me a car that had an expired registration. I went back to tell her and she was helping another customer so I had to wait for a long time. She then gave me another car. The whole process took an hour.nnWhen I dropped the car off in Auckland I returned it at the exact time I arrived in New Plymouth to pick up even though I should've got an extra hour because of their muck around but then got charged for an extra hour. Turns out they'd entered my pick up time an hour earlier than we actually picked it up so 2 hours earlier than I actually got the car.nnI immediately called customer service in Auckland. The guy once again had terrible English. He said I needed to wait 3 days before he could refund me but that he would send me a confirmation right away that he was processing my refund. I never got an email so I had to contact customer service again a week later and request a refund.

The receptionst never seen N3 trade card for discount, thats fair enough. But its owner also never heard about N3 card which is really shocking, even though my card back clearly says Accepted at Avis/budget and I opened the website and show them how it works. Nothing could change their minds to give me any discount through n3. Finally i paid $602.11 for a five hour trip from New plymouth to Auckland by hiring a Camry. Astounding experience. Be aware of taking domestic flights as they cancelled often, then you will have these car rental companies teach you lessons

Pre booking was easy car was excellent shame bout the staff at new plymouth airport could of been more helpful a lot of opinions  can make you or break you on first impressions

Excellent drop off service, pick up mehhh were talking amongst themselves barely acknowledged me except to hand me the keys. I'd say they need more staff.
