Established in 2016, BSIDE Gallery is a unique multi-disciplinary gallery and events space located on Brunswick Street, Fitzroy.

Story

BSIDE Gallery represents an exciting new change in the landscape of Fitzroy's creative scenes. The space provides a dynamic platform for artists that challenges the norm of the traditional gallery setting while striving to reclaim young creative spaces in Fitzroy against the ever increasing tides of development.

The gallery invites applications from all artists and curators who are interested in our goals of :
- Creating an open and inclusive creative environment
- Promoting the accessibility of art to a wider public audience
- Pushing the boundaries and rules of traditional galleries and in turn allowing artists to push their own practices
- Maintaining Fitzroy as the creative hub of Melbourne by exhibiting high quality works from a broad spectrum of artists.

We want to defy the trend of closing creative spaces and reclaim artistic turf in what is Melbourne's oldest suburb; and in doing so offer genuine support to all artists interested in and involved with both the gallery and the adjoining studios.
