I had such a lovely experience here and chose this place on a whim as I was passing through the area. The manager ? is ridiculously personable, you almost feel like you're interacting with a close friend! Extremely warm greeting and it was a very smooth checkout/payment. Food and drinks were very good though it was a struggle for me to finish! There is also ample amount of space plus outdoor seating for those who want some sunshine. Great ambience and a relaxed vibe. Would totally recommend!
Been here for both dine in and take away. The coffee is great here and the food is exactly what you’d expect, in a good way!! My second nemesis to brunch after kale is being given a butter knife for toast though and that happened here I’m convinced they give a butter knife to cut toasty bread because they know it’s difficult so you stay there longer and have to order more coffee but otherwise, great experience
Friends in area had recommended so always happy to try a new place and I absolutely loved the decor of the Brunswick Food Store, one of the staff said it was an old biscuit factory. The venue is huge with lots of seating inside, high ceilings, old timey decor light fittings, wooden tables, bentwood chairs, paintings. I loved how it looked. The menu had all the usual breakfast items and lunch and specials that were midddle eastern. I had gnocchi with pumpkin, husband had their big breakfast while friends had porridge, pancakes and vegetarian breakfast. We also had chips to share. The gnocchi was OK but I was craving carbs so certainly got that. For drinks we had coffees flat white, decaf soy latte, latte, juice, Prosecco and tea.
A hidden gem perfect for brunch. Spacious seating and friendly staff. We ordered a caramel latte which was well made. The sweetness of the coffee beans and caramel complimented each other. Chilli scrambled eggs were well infused with the house made chilli and came with crisp bread. I loved the portion of the zucchini and corn fritter and the variety of flavours that is tasted in the dish. The fritters were soft inside with a crisp outside, and on the sides, the saltiness of the salmon and halloumi. The sauce is creamy and matches well with the spiced dukka.
This has got to be the best tasting coffee I've had in ages and that says a lot considering the coffee culture here. The service was very friendly and the food was nice. The atmosphere was very laid back with plenty of space indoors and a number of outdoor seating. #excellentcoffee #familyfriendly #dogfriendlyFood: 5/5
The food here has definitely gone down hill since the last time I was here in 2021. I understand that things aren't always easy for businesses but neither is charging $21 dollars for a "southern fried" chicken burger. It had 2 ,10cm slices of chicken with cheap, unsalted fish and chip styled chips. My own meal was the chili scamble and for some reason they gave me 2 slices of bread which were squashed for some reason and the eggs portion was small and douced in sirarcha sauce. This place used to have some amazing food with some of the best portions in Brunswick, it's a real shame that it has dropped this low, luckily the coffee is still on point. Sorry to say guys.
I order mezze breakfast and an iced latte. enjoyed the zataar bread and the coffee but unfortunately the poached egg in mezze breakfast was overcooked and hard boiled. was expecting better when the mezze breakfast alone costs $23.9 plus 10% weekend surcharge
Best brunch, thank you I absolutely recommend the corn fritters, textures and tastes …delicious Iced latte perfect Great service, welcoming and helpful Good gluten-free options as well. Everyone at our table was very happy with their choices. Thank you Brunswick Foodstore I’ll be back many times
Wonderful selection of food, with beautiful presentation and chill cafe vibes! Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options!
Great coffee and food - has been through a number of transformations and menus - the latest commination is rediscovering the freshness of the early years. Gluten free and vegan options.
