Cakes and pastries were good with a huge range. The whole cakes in the fridge were all frozen though. The Italian hot chocolate is rich and amazing. The place gets pretty busy though and hard to get a seat. Staff looked busy but very friendly and seemed happy to explain and answer any questions.
Nice and spacious. Cakes were too sweet for my liking. Coffee tasted quite watery. They have many wait staffs and service were great & efficient despite the crowd.
Heaven for sweet-tooth . I have never seen a single shop that presents you with huge range of cake, tart, bakery, eclair or any sweet thing you could think of...as many as in this place. Presentation is perfect, service is good, I re-visit within n 3 days to buy more of what I like. Really recommend .
Good vibe, delicious coffee and yummy cake. I have their cheese cake and cappuccino. Love it... They have so many variant of cakes and dessert. Surely be back next time.Food: 5/5
The ravioli I got was a pretty small portion considering the price. But the food was really good! Very busy and crowded. A great selection of desserts aswell. Yummy coffee :Food: 5/5
Brunetti has been my favourite place to go to for any sweets or custom made birthday cakes. The price are so reasonable and great customer service. One of my favourite place on Lygon Street.
Lots of variety to hot foods, drinks, ice creams, cakes and desserts. I tried the hot chocolate it was really nice not too sweet and very smooth and I brought some desserts it felt very fancy the packaging is cute and secure.
Had some post movie coffee and cake at the famous Brunetti Classico! It’s lovely, spacious, with plenty of helpful staff. My darker roast double shot flat white coffee was great and the range of sweet treats were consistently tasty. Are they the best cakes in melbourne, probably not, but they are still pretty dang good. Is the whole overall experience iconic and worth doing? Absolutely. They also have a top range of gelato, a full menu too which is wonderful and has filled me up on previous occasions. Familiar and comforting without being pretentious.
Cakes and coffee excellent. Only front end of store for take away cakes wasn't too busy. Parking in area can be tricky to find, cost us $30. The meal ordering end of store was very busy, it was school holidays, we had to line up in 2 different areas. Limited table service. Access to toilets for a mildly disabled group was a nightmare. One way was blocked by equipment, the other, we had to ask people to get up and move to allow us through. Moved a high chair out of the way, then we found the disabled toilet LOCKED WITH A SIGN SAYING TO GO BACK TO REGISTER AND ASK FOR A KEY... RIDICULOUS! I took my disabled client through to ladies toilet and helped her use non ambulant toilet. She couldn't get her walker in there. Then on way back we had to ask people to move stand up and move aside to let us through again. Then I did another trip with man on crutches. Luckily one of the staff outside was helpful.
We came for a late night hot chocolate on a Sunday evening and the place was packed to bursting. We just ordered drinks but the staff seemed to be run off their feet with the volume of customers. Our drinks took 20 mins. The hot chocolate was fine, but not really special. Given the popularity, I would have expected something a bit more luxe. They have a private room to the rear of the shop which can be hired for events, which is cool.
