making it to school and work on time is already hard enough without the stress of catching a bus in the mornings. Multiple times just this year I have been late to school due to busses running late, getting cancelled or just not showing up, this is extremely frustrating as being late to school interferes with my education and causes me to fall behind especially in my HSC years. Just this morning three 199 busses to manly were cancelled causing a 45 minute wait at the busstop for a bus that should be coming every 5-10 minutes. The busses are also extremely busy around 7am-9am due to the fact that there are hardly any busses, this causes the few busses that are running to drive past students. Catching an earlier bus also is not an option for me as my connecting bus comes once an hour. Ubers also get really pricy and I cannot afford to be getting one to school every morning because of the busses messing up. I suggest more busses should be running in the mornings for school students and less busses should be getting cancelled. I am very disappointed that I have to write this review in the first place.
I was driving home from work today when a Brigidine bus driven by Forest was driving very close to me. At every intersection he was tailgating me and when I put n my indicator to turn and slowed down he once again tailgated me and hooted madly. As a school teacher I very much hope he had no school children on board.
Left keys with an AirTag on them on the bus, followed keys for hours to find them at the Depot itself. These were keys to an apartment which was the only place we had to stay for the next couple nights, it was very late and we were hours away from our home. We had the details to find the exact bus the keys were left on but they refused again and again to let us find them. This could be seen as an act of child endangerment, purposely leaving us homeless for the night as it was New Year’s Eve and all other places were booked. Therefore as recommended by a lovely lady working there, we went to the police station who there an officer told us to get the Depot to call them. We went back to the depot to tell them this request of the officer to which they completely ignored and were again extremely rude basically telling us to stuff off. We overall wasted 4 hours of our time finding this and left with no place to stay.
Big shout out to office staff who located wife’s lost handbag on bus and got it back to us in record time so we could continue our journey. Your tracking system is amazing.
My daughter misplaced her mobile phone on the 610 School Bus to Sydney Girls High School around 8:40 am on Thursday 01/06/2017. I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to the Bus Driver and Rodney Lost & Found Property of Brookvale Bus Depot who'd advised me to collect my daughter's mobile phone the next day. I'd like to compliment both Bus Driver & Rodney of Brookvale Depot of their honesty, integrity & professionalism in handling & management of Lost & Found Property in the public sector of Brookvale Bus Depot. Thank you very, very much once again.
We hailed down the 7.18pm 199 bus at Brookvale! The bus driver saw 2 of us ‘hailing’ the bus stop, however, he just continued on!! The worse thing was, was that it was heavy rain falling please don’t use this as an excuse & my friend & I had to wait in the cold, rainy weather!! NOT a great experience Just for your info, it was the 7.18pm Brookvale to Palm Beach 199. Please let me know the outcome! Thanks Robyn
Thanking Hari Koirala - Driver 890392- my car boot flipped open somehow turning out of Rosebery Rd Balgowlah in heavy rain & congested traffic yesterday afternoon & a large box of valuable merchandise fell out onto the busy road. I was not able to stop straight away & came back around the block but was unable to find it anywhere. Hari saw it happen and managed to pick it up off the road, worked out where it came from & contacted me today to advise he had taken the box to the Brookvale depot for me to collect. I am so grateful and appreciative - the merchandise is quite expensive and for a special event this weekend at Middle Harbour Yacht Club. Please ensure Hari is thanked and congratulated for the effort he went to get this back to me - bus driver of the month award to him please! Thank you Christine
Waiting for the 182 on 8th sept 4.55pm bus. Arrived early at the beggining of the route. Driver drove past the narrabeen stop there was another bus in the watsitting at the lights...we walked towards the lights to board it. Driver did not open doors or even attempt to let us board. Drove off without us for no logical reason... That means an hour wait for the next one unless we can catch another bus to link with the 182 going the other direction.
We have just returned from Sydney on the 3pm ferry, arriving into Manly wharf at 3.30. As we crossed the road the 135 bus to Quarantine Station was at the bus stop & due to depart at 3.40pm. the bus moved up to the red traffic lights allowing people to cross the road on the walk sign. Although we showed the driver our tickets, he refused to open the door for us - not wanting to wait a further 1/2 hour for the next bus we caught a taxi home. - and for old people this is not acceptable. This letter is a complaint - the bus should meet the ferry as people were inconvenienced by this bus driver and his leaving the Manly stand prior to its time tabled time. My son lost his wallet on the bus, with school ID, Opal card, a significant amount of cash, etc. Brokvale depot very quick and professional in contacting us and letting us know that they have it. I wish to acknowledge with gratitude the honesty and professionalism of those people. Thanks to all involved.
