Plenty of room, generous spots, generally grassed areas, power water hot showers toilets. Easy access to town by car or bike. Good pubs and eateries in the Hill. So much to do and see. Caretakers are very obliging. Two dump sites. Came for 3 days stayed 15. Totally recommend. Photos show grounds after intense rain. Doesn't stop travellers though.
Beautiful neat campsite, lovely facilities, friendly caretakers. Horses in the morning can need seen trotting around the track. A walk up the hill behind the buildings provides a lovely view of the racecourse, golf course avd you can even see the Line of Lode lookout over the distant hills. Would recommend.
On the left just before you get into Broken Hill Amenities are very clean, care taker most helpful. Great view up on the hill. It was great waking up to horse traing just made a coffee & was watching them train & the sun rise
We have stayed here every time we visit Broken Hill and will definitely be back. If you're lucky you'll see a horse or two training on the race track. The amenities are clean and well presented. The stands are worth a visit. The caretakers, Mal and Georgina, are lovely people.
Great stop for one night or 4 / 5. Hot showers, clean toilets. Powered $35 pn, power and water $40, unpowered $25. You can be on grass or gravel/ concrete. Helen, Gary and camp dog Charlie are a delight enjoy the stop.
The Broken Hill regional event Center and Racecourse camp is a great paid camp. It is $30 a day with hot showers, water and dumping facilities. You would have to call in to make sure there is space available as it gets full. The Racecourse is located at the outskirts of town. Check in would be at the caretakers office and COVID vaccination is to be sighted. You will then be lead to the big grassy green area right next to the event Center in front of the Racecourse. Each bay is numbered and gas power, water and about 20ltr jugs filled. With water to tie up your awning on as Pegging is not allowed. Gray water and be trickled on the grass. The grass is is manicuredly maintained by the caretaker. The toilet block is right behind the showers which is right behind on the grassy camp. The toilets have about 10 cubicles, stocked up with toilet paper, soap and always clean. Sanitizers are located in front of the toilets and.asked.parons to use it before and after the entering toilets as well as.shower. showered are located in front of the toilet block. They are about 5 cubicles and the up look like Cruiseship showers. They ask you to mop after showering as water tend to splatter out of the shower making it difficult to clean as there is no drain outside the shower only,so make sure you close the shower curtains. The camp has several bins located on the grounds. Sometimes you can watch the jockeys on their single man carts being pulled by their horse doing their rounds, quite a sight and hear the sound of their hooves on the soft dirt is quite hypnotizing. The camp is a great breakaway from free camp if you need hot showers! Thank you Broken Hill Racecourse for your kindness and friendly welcome.
We camped a couple days before the Mundi Mundi and after and it was good. We had power and water and they even provided toilets and showers.
Hi everyone this place was pretty easy to find on maps . Its super quiet , the site's are really large so if you were worried about you huge caravan or bus don't , the grounds are clean and very tidy and the amenities especially the showers are amazing and very clean. The care taker was super helpful and just a lovely lady, the price was on the higher side but I would pay that again just for the amazing showers ... happy travelling friends
Caravan stay for the week..excellent customer service by the caretaker . Position at the racecourse was great. amenaties showers & toilets were very clean. Dump Points on site.Safe secure area 5 minutes out of town. Highly recommend if travelling through down the Stuart Hwy
Get place for a stop over. Clean toilets and beautiful hot showers. Throw in the sunsets and sunrises. Gorgeous
