Visited Auckland’s famed Britomart Saturday outdoor market and it was wonderful! Loads of retail booths offering interesting food items, drinks and all kinds of local and New Zealand craft merchandise. With a music deejay providing great tunes, under sunny skies the vibe was festive, inviting and fun. Highly recommended!
Britomart isn’t just a place to shop for clothes. It’s a marketplace for photo-op spots. These are some locations that look stunning on any phone. Just take your pic see what I did there?. Anyway, these are my picks:nn1. Fairy Lights. Love these magical wee lightsnn2. Glass Periscope thingies. Whatever aura you lose climbing up these things, you gain in your picturenn3. Fountains underground waterguns go brrrr
The Britomart shopping area and Waitemata train station are great places to spend a ton of time right in downtown Auckland. The station is huge, clean, and has clear signage for planning out a trip and figuring out which platform to stand on. At street level are lots of places to grab a bite, shop, or just sit and relax. If you get the opportunity to go during the Saturday market then you should! There are lots of shops, plenty of food much of which I was unable to find elsewhere, and an overwhelmingly friendly atmosphere. Certainly a great place to stay near while visiting Auckland.
Clean, modern, and right in the heart of the city. Britomart Station is easy to navigate with helpful staff and good train connections. The area outside is vibrant, with great cafes, shops, and a short walk to the waterfront. Perfect spot to start exploring Auckland!nnBeautiful ferry building is located just outside of the britomart station.nQueens street for shopping and sky tower is on walking distancenNearest Viaduct is a good location for filming and photography
My mother & I went to Britomart to catch a train to Eden Park last week. The lady who helped us buy our tickets was very helpful, had a smile on her face & very helpful. It made our day to help us get to where we wanted to go. Thank you for the lovely service
