Disappointingly mediocre - but this is what we come to expect from airport food right? Just because there is a stigma around airport dining doesn't mean you have to live up to it - this place needs a good manager to grab the place by the scruff and turn it into something fabulous, I know there are constraints AC after covid but just try harder. I was last here in 2017 and had a fabulous fresh juicy burger with great atmosphere - what happened to that place? Got here bang on shift change at 3pm and it showed - The beer was cold, though the first pint had a good 3 fingers which was disappointing for $17 thanks mate - could you be any less disinterested? Careful not to smile - it might ruin your hair but the second was poured by the lovely young girl that had just started her shift and was much better - even with the price sting. Now I mentioned I had been here in 2017, thats theblast time I travelled solo and I'm usually travelling with the family so this time I was looking forward to seeing what the had to offer so naturally I ordered the burger! Hard to believe in 2023 these 2 bit restaurants are STILL using pre formed frozen cardboard meat patties... not only disappointing but disgusting! You're paying Chefs! Let them cook and the sign out front "grass fed beef burger" absolute lies, it comes in a packed and you have no idea from where, stop lying to your customers! - i understand time restraints with cooking at an airport but I don't want my burger pre cooked and reheated with pre cooked fries yes they were cooked and just dropped to bring to temp at order at that horrendous price point. The music - depressing - give me something upbeat and a bit rock, you've got an industrial theme restaurant with nickelodeon music playing on the TV's! Seriously? Whilst I was there I was observing the cook/chef behind the pass just people watching with the manager friend and a completely disengaged bloke behind the bar that got his jollies by making people wait. I watched his reaction with interest when a customer dropped a bottle of beer in front of the bar - not only did he not try to elevate the embarrassed customer quite the opposite. Quite annoyed and even in a poor tone asked the customer "how'd you manage that" with a surly look on his face he then got the fresh on shift previously mentioned lovely young girl to clean it up! He did put up a wet floor sign though so I guess he did something ‍ Good luck guys, got a lot of work to do but you'll likely never see your customers again so who cares right?
First time here but will definitely be returning every time we fly! Friendly staff, great atmosphere and delicious breakfast and coffee We ordered Eggs Benedict and a Vanilla Latte. Drinks and food were brought out to us very quickly! Food: 5/5
I ordered a chicken salad the service was friendly and I had not to wait long. The salad contained fried chicken pieces, green salad, tomatoes, avocado and olives. The dressing was vinegar simple And tasty.
I believe whoever owns this place should be ashamed of the food they cook here. I mean, it’s an airport, so I understand everything is overpriced. But. How much would it take from you guys to cook a real hollandaise made from real butter, use fresh muffin and add some spinach for $23 Egg dish called Royal a joke right? Just a shameful money making on people who doesn’t really have much choice in this airport. My advice would be to choose one of the cafes at the two sides of the hall - their food looked much better than what I received here.
Sat down to a relatively quiet no of people - less than 10 to have breakfast before our flight. Ordered the simple 2 for 1 brekkie no special orders or difficult allergy issues. Waited 20 mins before I asked the sever for an update. The female cook, clearly not conscious of the open kitchen, yelled at the server, “tell him to wait, I’m busy. People need to wait and not be in a hurry”. The food never showed. We had to leave and requested a refund. Gone are the days of decent customer service.
Just had the most superb meal at Bris Airport. Wagu Steak with roasted vegetables and garden salad. I rarely write a review, though had to share this tatse sensation. Thank you Chef, i was surprised / delighted to experience such a delicate, tender tasty meal. 5 Stars Brisbane River Grill, as the bar staff were wonderful too.
We had the pork ribs and wonton noodles. The quality was beyond your normal expectations of airport food, amazing! A big thumbs-up to the chef!
I ordered the chicken Palmer and I was barely above room temperature. Tasted like it was defrosted and put in the microwave. If you need to eat in the terminal please go to windmill & co
Seemed like the only decent place in the airport. Food looked good and didn’t take long… parmy wasn’t that hot though compared to chips, salad was good… but halfway through a bug crawled out from under the parmy
Served by Marissa who was very accommodating explaining how to modify orders for my dietary requirements. Quick service and heaps if staff present so you know it's the spot to go to :
