Had both my wedding ceremony in the Windsor Room and reception in the Brisbane Room held at this beautiful and majestic venue in March 2025. I liaised with Jacinta from EPICURE and she was so lovely, patient and empathetic throughout the whole process. From doing a venue tour, to a menu tasting after hours and up till the wedding day itself, she was nothing but accommodating. My vendors also mentioned how nice she was to work with.nnThis venue offers many wedding packages that suit many budgets. There are a plethora of rooms to choose from. There are also many great photo locations for wedding portraits. My husband and I thought the packages were very reasonably priced and included many things not included in other venue packages.nnThe food on the night was phenomenal. From the presentation to the taste, each course was artistically prepared. The proportions were great and the cake was plated with finesse.nnJust a minor thing to note if you do plan to book Brisbane City Hall as your wedding venue. They are a heritage-listed site, so no open-flames allowed ie LED candles & tea lights only and no sparkulators and nothing can be affixed to the walls and flooring to preserve the materials. As part of the contract, you will also need to take out indemnity insurance.nnIn summary, I definitely recommend Brisbane City Hall as a wedding venue. The photos of the venue speak for themselves.
Explore the public and administrative spaces that comprise the seat of the Brisbane area government. In order to get the behind the scenes peak, it will be a good idea to sign up for the free guided tours. Walk back to the beginnings of the efforts to design, fund, and eventually the start of construction through the renovation work that resulted in the reopening of the storied building in 2013. Tours are comprised of about 14 people, so be sure to book early to make arrangements for larger groups. You may opt to online the clock tower tour if you haven't already done so in the past.
City Hall is beautiful and truly iconic. Inside and out I've always found there to be something magical about it. I've been to many events held here over the years from balls, to awards, voting even bridal expos and it's a very versatile space. The historical beauty is well presented and preserved. I've added a couple of photos from tonight when we took the kids in for the ever spectacular Christmas display. Honestly it gets better every year. My only gripe about it is the amount of dark harsh concrete in King George Square from the renovations they did years ago. It gets so hot in summer. I wish they would add some trees back to allow for some shade so you could take time to comfortably appreciate the area more. Otherwise it's lovely.
The best open place to sit and relax in Brisbane City CBD. Many events are happening at this place throughout the year. Well maintained and great view of City Hall.
Beautiful historical architecture of the Brisbane City Hall. Great illuminations during the Christmas season. Excellent light and sound shows during the Christmas evenings.
