The family and i came down to the church for a cheeky sundy arvo. The priest greeted us but was abit touchy tbh. They took the kids for a “arts and crafts session” which was abit odd. I am now a fully devoted member of the samford church cult and love spending time with the elders of the church. Would deffinetly recommend
My family love and enjoy, and are loved and enjoyed by, the fellowship that we have found in this part of the body of Christ. I have been in the world of darkness and, having found a home in this church, can now say that I love the light because of the illumination coming from my God, in his people. A great place to worship our Lord, God and Father!
I love this place with all my heart and have found it to be a huge blessing in my life day to day, week to week, month to month and year to year. I have found real care, real honour, real esteem, and real appreciation extended to me and I have learnt to appreciate and honour others in the same way. Every week I hear something preached or I read something in our daily devotional books which illumines to me wisdom for how I can walk throughout the day. The word of God is here- living, active and effective to bring me life, blessing and my inheritance in God. My family has been blessed to be part of this place for four generations in a stable church environment which is always growing more and more into God's likeness as we lay our lives down for one another learning more of Him. What a blessing!
My family and I have been going to Brisbane Christian Fellowship for over 30 years. We love this community of God's people who are committed to being disciples of Christ, and who genuinely love and care for one another. The gospel message we hear each week is based on sound biblical teaching and scriptural truths and we can testify that this brings real and lasting change in our lives. From the youngest to the oldest, there's a place here for everyone to participate.
If you're after a patriarchal, conservative religious group where women are told to obey men and everyone is encouraged to do what they are told and not think about it, then this is the church for you. Enjoy your subjugation! If you're looking for a group that will let you ask questions, and have your own beliefs and opinions rather than fully subscribing to a provided set of beliefs, I would suggest looking elsewhere. An impressive facility and musical program distract from the sexism, homophobia, and group-think that is strongly encouraged read: required. I spent 19 years in this 'church'. Leaving was the best decision I have ever made. Seven years on, I am glad every single day that I don't have anything to do with it anymore.
Whilst many people are claiming this to be a cult, it is in my personal belief that this is a wonderful place to worship our lord and saviour. I hope that some day people will open their eyes to the light this church has to offer.
No place like home! The word of present truth is freely proclaimed, even if that means correcting what's been taught previously. Everyone is welcome to fellowship with us.
Lots of weird things. The music is nice. The people think they're nice. I'm an atheist now.
The word being shared is the present truth that brings life that causes us to change for good.
