Mum and I had a memorable experience today in finally receiving my first car from Toyota Brighton! After COVID and the complications it brought, our salesperson Fergus assisted us through it, providing regular updates and working the best he could to get the car in our hands as soon as possible! He was patient and understanding in the most professional manner! The manager John was also fantastic, seeing us on the day of the car pickup and the Brighton team all provided excellent service; a shoutout to Tina who manages the delivery as well! Thank you so much team for everything!

I have bought half a dozen new vehicles in my life. Brighton Toyota has been the best dealership to deal with out of all of them. Staff where professional, polite and very accommodating. From the salesman Nilesh right through the whole team finance, car protection, delivery, service department. Just the kind of service you would expect when your using a big chunk of your hard earned funds to buy a quality vehicle. Thank you to all the team.

I’ve had to write this review to express my disappointment due to lack of communication and false promises by one particular staff member at the Brighton Toyota team. On top of the false promises, Sharon, the parts manager, is easily hands down, one of the most rude and condescending people l have ever encountered, and I’m actually baffled that she is still employed after the way she conducts business. I used to get my car serviced there but just based on Sharon’s unprofessional manner alone, I will never be taking my car there again and would not recommend anyone else to either.
I came back to pick up my car, which was ready and the reception lady served me. She was printing my paperwork and she told me that the printer was slow and asked me to have a seat. I watched her take 3 long phone calls, while I sat and waited. She took another call so I went up to the counter as I was pretty sure the printer wasn't that slow. When another staff member came in. She then got his attention by snapping her fingers and pointing to my paperwork so he could serve me. I was happy with his service but very unimpressed by hers. She should have asked one of those phone calls to please wait so she could serve me. Not good customer service at all!
Had a warranty issue and service/communication of the issue was terrible. Was told would take a week but took over a month the whole process due to staff being on leave etc. Had a different person to contact throughout the process and had to call up and be on hold multiple times to get updates. As it was a warranty issue I was not charged for for 1 of the diagnostic tests which I was happy about but the one before that in which I came in with the same issue that was covered by warranty I was charged and not reimbursed. Quite disappointed and will be going to Toyota Mentone to see if they treat customers better.
Booked a recall service on my new Corolla. Drop off service was great then when I went to pick it up it was terrible. They said return at 3pm, so I got there just after to be told it wasn’t ready and that I should’ve got a call. No missed calls so I know they didn’t even attempt it. My partner was waiting for me in the car park in case the car wasn’t ready, so I asked them how long until it’s ready so I know if I should go home or just wait. I waited 40 mins and repeatedly asked how long it would be. Reception kept saying they needed to check with the person handling my car but they were unavailable so they’d leave a message. I could see this person from where I was sitting, about 10 steps from reception and not once did someone approach them to ask nor did the person handling my car answer the message from reception. If I was told “it’ll be 40 mins” I would’ve been happy to wait and sent my partner on their way. But there was no communication with me for 40 mins except me repeatedly going to reception to ask what was going on. If I was just told the time it would take I wouldn’t be doing this review right now. Finally the rep came over to tell me my car is ready and that one of the issues I raised was non-warranty and they’d email me the quote. It’s been over a week and I still haven’t got the quote. I called to chase it up but there’s nothing on file according to reception so they’ll ask the same rep as before but to no surprise that person wasn’t available again. So now I wait for the callback. I don’t usually complain or kick up a stink because I worked in customer service but I’ve never experienced this kind of poor service when my expectations of Toyota are so high. You pay more for a Toyota because the cars are so great and you also expect the service to match.
