After walking out of another restaurant we had originally booked—due to an incredibly uncomfortable and disrespectful experience—we found ourselves at Bounty of the Sun, and it truly saved our night.nnDespite how busy it was, the hospitality here was absolutely top-notch. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely accommodating. Special shoutout to Eben for the superb service, and to the waiter who helped us swap things around so we could get a table—we were so grateful, especially after the encounter we’d just come from.nnThe food was exceptional. We especially loved the kingfish sashimi and the grilled butterfish—both so fresh and beautifully balanced. And the tofu cheesecake? Outstanding. My partner was ready to order another one on the spot.nnThe food was delicious, the vibe was relaxed and genuine, and we left feeling cared for and restored. Thank you for reminding us what real hospitality looks like. We’ll definitely be back.
The chefs and the waiters has made the visit exceptional.nnI was sitting in front of the kitchen, had an amazingly fun time chatting with the chefs while they make the most amazing food. Every single dish was cooked to perfection.nnThe waiters are always there checking in on the food and if we need anything. They went above and beyond with the selection of food and made really good recommendations. 10/10nnWould definitely go back
If I could give 10 stars, I would! I was recommended Bounty Of The Sun by a friend and just had to check it out while on a short holiday to Melbourne. You know it’s good when you come two nights in a row! The service is incredible, the staff are so chatty, warm and unlike any other kind of service we’ve had. The dishes are next level, can’t fault any dish! Our favourites would have to be the kingfish sashimi, DIY salmon hand roll, the fries basic and insane, charred corn, prawn toast, oysters, etc. PS. The mochi was insanely soft and delicious too.nnSad that we won’t be able to get this when we’re back in Sydney! But 1000000% must try on Melbourne!
Waited 3 years since our last visit. You were our first food stop in Melbourne we didn’t want to miss our opportunity to experience your food again. It was excellent and it was everything and more that we were anticipating, for both food and cocktails. Staff were amazing and attentive.
This place has been on my list for a while, and my partner and I finally went tonight — it ended up being one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. The food was incredible, the service was so friendly and personable and the atmosphere had such a great vibe.nnA special shoutout to Lane, Josh, and Dom and the team for being so welcoming and accommodating.nnThe cocktails were just as impressive as the food — the plum margarita is a must-try.nWe’re already calling this our new local. Loved everything about it. No one does hospitality quite like this place. This is how hospitality should be done!!
