A pretty renowned establishment for Japanese and the staff were extremely friendly but unfortunately you have a 90 minute seating and the food came quite slowly. Our curry arrived 6.21 and we meant to be out at 6.30 so it did feel incredibly rushed. It did enjoy the food and cocktails but unfortunately it was not very relaxing.
Been here 5-6 times now. It hits every single time, the food & service is consistently amazing. Head chef is so nice, has come and had a chat to us multiple times, clear how much everyone cares about the restaurant and you can taste it through the food. Confidently recommend it to everyone knowing that they will have a great experience!
Bold, innovative, daring. Taking Japanese concepts and adding minimal tweaks to elevate refined food to something moreish and unforgettable. Japanese food has a reputation for more bland flavours but the cheeky chilli and clever sour notes added into Japanese staples make for an outstanding meal. The burnt butter udon is a must.nBusy and buzzy, not always easy to get service, but this can be put down to well loved and popular.
After walking out of another restaurant we had originally booked—due to an incredibly uncomfortable and disrespectful experience—we found ourselves at Bounty of the Sun, and it truly saved our night.nnDespite how busy it was, the hospitality here was absolutely top-notch. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely accommodating. Special shoutout to Eben for the superb service, and to the waiter who helped us swap things around so we could get a table—we were so grateful, especially after the encounter we’d just come from.nnThe food was exceptional. We especially loved the kingfish sashimi and the grilled butterfish—both so fresh and beautifully balanced. And the tofu cheesecake? Outstanding. My partner was ready to order another one on the spot.nnThe food was delicious, the vibe was relaxed and genuine, and we left feeling cared for and restored. Thank you for reminding us what real hospitality looks like. We’ll definitely be back.
Superb in every way. Staff were all so lovely, food was divine and we had the fabulous view outside. Why did we wait so long to come here? We will be back!
