People will tell you that Bradford West Yorkshire, England has the best curry in the world. Well it just got beaten by Bombay on the Beach in Blackman’s Bay in Hobart Tasmania, Australia. Beautiful food and efficient service. The staff are allergy sensitive and can you advise accordingly what food to order etc. Modern fixtures and amazing crockery. Worth the visit and drive out of Hobart.
I visited Bombay on the Beach in Kingston with a friend for some coffee and snacks. We both ordered chai lattes extra hot — the flavour was quite nice, but unfortunately, they weren’t as hot as we asked for.nnWe tried the pakoras, eggplant pakora and lamb samosas. The pakoras had a strong smell that put us off, and the eggplant was undercooked. The lamb samosas were the highlight — crispy and tasty.nnService took around 15 minutes, and we were a little surprised that our takeaway wasn’t given in any kind of bag — not even a paper or plastic one.nnFor around $35, the food quality didn’t really meet our expectations. It’s a lovely spot and the chai was enjoyable, but overall we left a bit disappointed.
Fabulous food, best Indian ever, lovely ambience, attentive service. If it's busy, they don't rush your meals, so everything comes out fresh, hot, and tasty. Also had the best coffee in Hobart here. I'm not a big fan of spicy food, but the mild dishes I tried were spot on and flavours so subtle yet delicious. Went here twice during our week stay in Hobart. It does get busy; we booked online, but they always had a few tables spare, so most people seem to just drop in.
My third time here and very impressed with the food! The best Indian food I had in a while. Food is very flavorful and the staff is very friendly. The chicken and lamb biriyanis are delicious! The Bombay butter chicken curry and naan are to die for!nnHighly recommending to anyone looking for authentic Indian food!
Delicious Indian food with great service. We didn't make a booking but I would recommend having the table booked. Food is really good.
