A delightful surprise.nnI don’t normally order chicken when eating out, because it’s normally bland or dry. The hickey I had at this restaurant was flavourful and juicy, truly a surprise for me. Each dish delivered and tasted as good as it sounded on the menu. The king fish, very fresh and had that snappiness to it when you chew.nThe lamb was slightly over cooked and was on the medium side rather than medium rare I normally have it rare but despite that, the flavours were rich and had a really good taste. If you’re a traditionalist I wouldn’t come here as these are more modern takes on Asian food, so if you like a traditional papaya salad it’s not for you but I enjoyed every dish.nnThe music for me was great and just overall good vibes.nnGreat pricing I thought and I will for sure come back.nnDefinitely try the sticky rice dessert.
I’ve been intending to try Blue Rose for a while when I heard it is by the same people that run Gondola Gondola Hindley St, finally went for dinner on a Saturday night and they did not disappoint. The fit out is colourful, trendy and inviting, and I imagine during the day it would be a nice scenic spot to watch the action at Henley Square.nnMy friend and I had an absolute feast ordering a la carte from the menu, we had three starters, two mains, one side, two desserts and two mocktails. We were extremely full and satisfied.nnMain dish highlights for me were the truffle mee goreng such a surprisingly delicious combination of flavours and the scallops tasted fresh and were seasoned well.nnBig shoutout to Sabrina who took such great care of us, her customer service was outstanding. She really took the time to explain menu items and recommend the best dishes. Ask for her and you’ll be looked after!nnThe cherry on top for me was the little candle they put in my dessert for my birthday. Keen to come back here during a lunch time to enjoy the views.

A local clan, ensconced in their al fresco feast, regaled us with tales of their pilgrimage from a distant suburb—a pilgrimage that spoke volumes of the eatery's divine gastronomic prowess. The fare before us was nothing short of a symphony of innovation and aesthetics, a culinary ballet that pirouetted across our palates with unparalleled grace. Service, though momentarily perturbed by the absence of effervescent aqua, swiftly morphed into a spectacle of hospitality as they showered us with the elixir of soda water and ushered forth a procession of delectable appetizers. While the main course dallied a tad longer than anticipated and a verdant misstep momentarily marred the affair, harmony was swiftly restored, leaving us ensconced in a state of gustatory euphoria. Verily, I implore thee to partake in the splendor of Blue Rose, for it is a veritable sanctuary of epicurean delights, a beacon of culinary excellence that beckons the discerning traveler to bask in its resplendent glory.
Food and service were both great. Good range of flavours, rich and delicious albeit quite sweet beef cheek rendang, and properly flakey roti. Good serving sizes and a very nice location.
I LOVED this place! Can’t believe I haven’t been before. The service was super friendly, the fit out is beautiful and gives good vibes. The worst thing was having to choose something off the menu - I wanted EVERYTHING! Each item we ordered was delicious - the squid over cooked though - something you should be careful, but we still ate it and it wasn’t enough to take any stars. I can’t wait to come back. Well done guys
