Although it has the look, feel and bustle off a hostel it also has private family rooms which are quit comfortable. Billabong Garden is great located just off King Street in Newtown.

Very helpful and friendly staff, clean rooms, communal kitchen, nice swimming pool, paid wifi, guest laundry. Just a minute walk away from a variety of shops, bars, grocery stores. Newtown station and Macdonaldtown station only 10 or so minutes away. And just a short walking distance away from The University of Sydney.

Best hostel I've been to all year

Good for the price and close to the middle of King St Newtown, lots of young backpackers set the tone of this place, we had two adults and a child under 4, the noise was managed and the place generally clean. For good value and convenience you can't go wrong here winter visit

Excellent room and the bathroom. Electric kettle inside, they provide hairdryer on request. Although, one downside is that walls are pretty thin and you can hear your neighbours, and they can hear you.

Great backpackers close to airport and city

We were in a family room with ensuite with our three kids and it was clean and tidy. The pool was lovely and we were allowed to park before we checked in. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Cheap accommodation place. The night staff is very welcoming. The room are furnished with very old furniture and feels clearly dusty. The bathroom was quite good.
