Got abit ripped off I think. Hired an e-mountainbike and had to pay the full 150 day rate even though I only had it for 3 hours and spent about half that time fixing problems that weren’t my fault…nnReply:nI know you’re going to defend your business and employees no matter what I say but I don’t see how I could’ve been in the wrong here… the reality of the situation is I spent half the time fixing a bike which I hired due to problems that weren’t not my fault.nthe flats I got were not a result of the way I was riding the bike and were totally due to the condition of the original tyre and the mechanic who fixed the blow out. The tyre on the bike was so old and worn the side wall blew out on the climb up the trail. After pushing the bike about 2 kilometres to meet the bike mechanic he installed the new rear tyre incorrectly and told me to ride away when the bead wasn’t even popped back on. It’s pretty basic that you pop the bead back on the rim before you riding away to make sure the tube is seated to prevent pinch flats but I guess I should’ve told the bike mechanic he didn’t do it right…nAfter fixing the second flat myself and popping the bead back on properly I just decided to head back because I had no confidence to keep riding something that might break on me half way down a trail…nnI understand I accepted the price of the bike when I took it but I was under the assumption I’d get a bike that worked and had been checked prior to riding. Getting flat tyres is just a part of mounting biking and I’d be fine if it was due to the way I was riding the bike but just feels shit when I spend money to hire a premium bike and it fails because of old tyres…nnHere’s a few photos of the original blow out, literally after riding up the Indy climb trail, idk how on earth I could cause that type of blow out where the tube is bulging out the side like that but hey.
Service was absolutely excellent! They were the only ones that answered the phone to start with and were able to rent us bikes the same day. Pleasure to deal with and would recommend to anyone looking for some great e-bikes.
Had a great experience renting surfboards from Bike On! The staff was super friendly, knowledgeable, and gave excellent recommendations for local surf spots. My partner and I really enjoyed the guided e-bike tour with James. The hike to the top of Mt Tewantin before the ride begins is a nice touch and gives some perspective of the distance we got to cover during the ride. Route was very scenic, highly recommend!
Great gear, superb service and nice add ons.nWe are 2 Canadians that rented 2 e-bikes from Mel and her team. The bikes worked very well. The service and advice about routes even provided an app for map app was excellent. And they provided a 2 for 1 beer voucher for the craft brewery across the street. Superb service all round. Thanks!
