Great location and amenities for the kids. While the vast majority of people are considerate and keep the noise down after 10pm so kids can sleep, some selfish people ignore this and we’re loud, drunk and using profanities well past this time. So we can’t thank the park management enough when dealing with this group and eventually making them leave. It’s great that this behavior wasn’t simply ignored. So I would recommend for families who want a great spot for a holiday but for those who want a place where others don’t matter, I would recommend a national park somewhere.
We had a great time. Plenty to do with the kids. There is a splash park, pool, jumping pillow, pedal bikes. The area is clean too and close to amenities. We had a 2 bed cabin. Sheets were nice and white. Kitchen had basic stuff for cooking. Pleasant and relaxing stay. Hoping to return.
Stayed here in the Superia villa units they were immaculate and beautiful. Was such an enjoyable stay our kids had an absolute ball. There was plenty activities to do the kids were busy all day. The pool, the splash zone, the pump track, basketball court, playground and the new inflatable jump pad were so much fun. All in all this big 4 is a must to stay at. Such well kept grounds and cleanliness throught this whole place. And really well thought of for kids to stay and enjoy themselves and have a great holiday which was really lovely to see. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable will definitely be back.
Excellent caravan park. We were invited here for the day by some friends and we couldn't believe how much there was for kids to do here. The grounds were so neat and tidy. We have booked to go back later in the year and our kids are really looking forward to it.
Cabin clean and reasonably equipped. Crockery and cutlery needs help. Park is well maintained however the cabin we were alloted was 2m from what I assume was a metal fabrication business. The banging and clattering starts at 7.30am and is still going strong at 10.45am the time of writing. Our ,4 night stay has not been an enjoyable experience thus not worth the tariff.
Excellent clean & well maintained park in a little costal town, offering lots for kids to do on the school holidays! We had to cut our week stay 2 nights short due to illness . management were more than helpful & accommodating at such short notice. Thank you
Can't beat it's location. Splash park is good for little kids and the indoor pool is big enough. But just go to the inlet over the road and it beats the pools. Just park the car and put the keys away for your stay. You'll walk to everything...Rooms: 5/5
We booked to stay for 3 nights. We arrived at 2:30pm with the idea that our 3 young kids would get to enjoy half a day swimming and using the facilities. Unfortunately when we arrived our cabin wasn’t ready so we had to go into town and hang out there at the park with 3 very disappointed kiddies. Our cabin was finally ready at 4pm which by then we were pretty peeved. Upon checking in they did however refund our first nights stay and gave us vouchers for the pedal carts and a bottle of champagne so we thought that was very reasonable of them and were happy with that. Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool and splash zone however the water was actually really cold. The indoor pool is supposed to be heated but it was only heated ever so slightly and our kids kept jumping out of the water to have a warm shower beside the pool shivering and complaining about how cold they were. I couldn’t even get into the water as it was too cold. This was disappointing as we booked this place knowing the weather was cold but because the pool and splash zone were indoors we thought there’d be no issue. Our cabin was comfortable although there seemed to be a weird ant problem where all these dead ants kept dropping out of the ceiling vents onto my son’s bunk bed, our bed and in the bathroom. Also the bathroom door knob broke off the first time we touched it and my son got stuck in the bathroom for a little while. The games room was a bit of a let down. There was only table tennis and Fooze ball both of which you had to pay to use which we thought was ridiculous considering we were paying $344 dollars a night. Despite these issues our kids really enjoyed themselves. There was also a fabulous concert on for the kids with dancing, ballon animals, and hand painting.
As far as caravan parks go this is a nice one. They have nice amenities, in the camp kitchen there are couches, TV, fridges, BBQs, there are washing machines and dryers with credit card touch on them for those who don't have coins, everything was clean and tidy, The grounds were very tidy, the grounds men were all lovley and friendly and kept everything neat, The ladies at reception were always friendly and helpful There was a "games room" it had a good table tennis table, you buy the balls and paddles from reception for $10 and keep them, then there was only a fooseball table which you couldn't use because ppl had pushed glow sticks and other things into it so the ball just gets stuck.. then there was some comfy couches and a TV that worked. Although very simple, it was still fun. The bouncing pillow isn't open when wet, which is annoying but understandable and it is small compared to the others we have used, but hey the kids still loved it and packed on there, so it's still a win. The cabins were very clean and tidy, they provided pool towels which is a nice touch. The pool was nice and warm , like adult warm swimming with kids, as in comfortable enough not to shiver when it's 9 degrees outside... the water park water was nice and warm too, and it wasn't to freezing cold standing around half wet playing with kids, so I really was pleasantly surprised with the temperature again considering it was between 9-13 degrees when we stayed. The bikes to ride around on were a fun activity for something different, the kids really liked them. They were $10 for half an hour but worth it. The best part about the park is the location though. It's a 2 second walk to the beach, past the inverloch corner store which has great coffee opening at 7am each day, and does good basic beach food but has lots if necessities there if you have forgotten something. Then you can take a super leisurely stroll from the park into town along the super wide path , very flat easy walk, honestly it felt like it was 5 minutes into town but it was probably more like 10-15 with kids if they are exploring along the way, but a super easy walk. .. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.
The good - the location was good and the pool and games area towards the front of the park were great The bad - the toilet facilities were lacking towards the back of the park and the shower heads were terrible The lack of dishwashing facilities was annoying The “large sites” were definitely not large. The constant swoops from miners was annoying at best, dangerous at worst The noise from another group was not handled quickly. They should have been removed as soon as they told security to “get fked ” and not wait until police need to be called to have them removed
