I'm very disappointed with the helium balloons I purchased yesterday afternoon.nI bought them for an event today and was told by paying an extra $9.00 $0.60 per balloon they would last at least 24 hours.nTotal waste of $50.10 because I woke up this morning to find that they didn't even last 16 hours.
How truly disgusting, untidy, disorganised and a complete shambles your fitting rooms are !! The manager of this store should be ashamed and embarrassed. I lined up for quite some time today to try on a dress, when I finally got to the front of the line I realised why there was such a wait….most of the fitting rooms are “out of order” because they have missing curtains or are stuffed so full of stock that they are unusable…. There were hangers and clothes all over the floors and the girl working on the fitting rooms looked beyond depressed. She couldnt muster an explanation, an apology or even a smile ! I’m actually annoyed with myself for proceeding and using the fitting room, I should have dumped the dress and left. What a disgrace ….
We bought Lego and other toys for an upcoming birthday. I now have a seniors card and asked the bloke on the checkout if I was eligible for seniors discount. He said he had no idea, when I asked how I could find out he said he had no idea. I've tried ringing Big W after going through the usual lengthy messages to be told I'd have to wait 1hr 25mins to talk to a representative. Does anyone in Australia know if there's a seniors discount ?
5:50pm 29/04/25 absolute rudest old woman at the entrance short dirty blonde curly hair, pink shirt. she barked at me upon entry that i had 10 minutes, i had headphones on and did not wish to be spoken AT even when i acknowledged her non-verbally. followed me through the entrance to bark again AND THEN AGAIN!! i ended up removing my headphones to tell her the one item i needed! who does she think she is? the checkout person will make store announcements as closing time rears, i don’t need this sour mouth getting all up in my business. been shopping here for nearly two decades, work in the same centre and am very aware of retail etiquette as i am a retail manager myself. would be gutted if my team spoke to our valued customers this way, i suggest Big W Joondalup’s management does the same and reviews her attitude + the decision to put her right in the front of the store. didn’t even have what i needed in the end.
The store is neat and tidy. Occasionally, you'll be able to find staff to assist, and when you do, they are polite and helpful.
