Big W Ballarat staff have some of the poorest customer service skills I have ever seen with the exception of some direct-to-boot staff who bring out online orders - they are brilliant. Most of the staff in store lack basic skills and human decency. I was in store with a small child when another customer started harassing me and would not leave me alone. Another customer approached me and asked if I was okay while Big W staff just stood there, passively. My child and I both left the store a little traumatised. I reported the incident to their head-office and while they promised someone would call me, no one ever did. I am leaving this review after years of dreadful customer experience at this store from their doors to the service desk and a recurring impression the store is seeking to employ personnel with antisocial traits again with the exception of some staff in the online order department. Occasionally, I shop at other Big W stores and the difference in how they treat customers is so vastly different it almost feels like another country.

Today, 7th February 2025, I purchased a foot spa. Body benefits by Conair. The box had been previously opened so I asked the staff to check it and if I could have a discount. A cursory glance by the staff member said it was all good so no discount. I arrived home to discover some parts were missing. I’m supposed to have a clip on foot brush and pumice stone but these were not there. I’m not well enough to return to the store but am disappointed with the customer service
Fantastic staff! When i couldn't locate the book I wanted on the shelf although showing available online, a helpful guy looked up the details, went out the back and found the book I was after. There were no cashiers as it was almost closing time, so another lovely staff member put everything through a self-service for me. Great work Big W Ballarat!
Lacking teenagers clothes for boys and girls. Big W targets adult then child and baby. No teenager section . Would be awesome to have
